it's 2009 and plasma is a dying breed because I've seen less plasma and more lcd in stores. number one reason when i ask people is becuase the fade cloudy whites in plasma after a month. It shows in display models because the plasma looks very faded compares to lcd.
you kinda look like mo williams. ya know from the CAValieers.. anyways, whats the best 37-47 inch HDTV you can buy with the price in mind? im looking for a good t,v to support my ps3 gaming. and do you know of any good quality surround sound systems too go along with it? also with price in mind;)
A bit of a late reply..but sorry..LCD is not the best qualitywise.. (Made out of plastic most of the time,while plasmas are with glass and metal.),also plasmas cost way more to manufacture..plasma is doomed thanks to the beginning of it's lifecycle along with a lot of lies..like the "refill plasma gas" classic.
hi iv been to bestbuy comparing lcds to plasmas and it seems that the lcd had better picture quality. been looking at plasmas like the 63 inch samsung and a couple others. and i noticed that plasmas have the dark shade over the screen as to the lcd has a bright screen which seems to have a better picture.

- looking to put a tv in my basement so whats the best tv from 55 to 65 inches?

You think that the XBR8 has a better picture than the 9G elite Kuro??

Most reviewers,calibrators,and ISF professionals would disagree.
When compared, the Kuro won hands down at CNET, HT mag,etc.etc.etc.
The XBR8 cannot produce the blacks of a kuro while displaying actual content instead of an all black screen.
Kuro still the champ picture-wise
