The inabilty to to think and reason has been and still is the catalyst for humanities horrors throughout history, war, genocide, torture. An ignorant mind is capable of almost anything it is told to do. The religious mind is dangerous. Indoctranation and ideology can hide in both religion and and politics. If we can learn HOW to think instead of WHAT to think then maybe humanity can save itself.

WOW...I always watched his channels, always thinking he just wore the hood and dark face to seem mysterious. Never realized such a story was behind it. The way he covers his face is a symbol for so much more to me now.

People who say that, they are atheists are disliked by others. I am going through that. My mum learnt to live with the fact that I am an atheist. My dad decided never to visit me. Some of my colleagues don't even look at me. And the people who ask my hand in marriage lose interest in me once they get to know that I am an atheist. But, I am grateful to my friends (1is an atheist and 3 are theist who do not support any religion) who support me to live as an atheist :-)

@Abigail4Jesus If religions taught people to do good things, and made people do good things, I wouldn't have anything against religion. I wouldn't think it to be true because of the lack of evidence, but I wouldn't mind it. However, that is NOT what religion generally does. It teaches that women are inferior to men and that non virgin women who marry should be stoned, for example. Also, it makes people do shitty things all the damn time.

In fact, a recent poll came out that indicated that the biggest increase in people claiming to be atheists over the last ten years was in Texas! We increased by 20 percent! We're Number One, baby!

A friend of mine is also a school teacher; his students also discovered he was an atheist by his arguments; however, his job was not threatened, nor his classroom vandalized. I hope there aren't too many GrapplingIgnorances out there going through that ordeal. Keep the videos up guys! Freedom, wisdom and reason will prevail in the end :)

People who say that, they are atheists are disliked by others. I am going through that. My mum learnt to live with the fact that I am an atheist. My dad decided never to visit me. Some of my colleagues don't even look at me. And the people who ask my hand in marriage lose interest in me once they get to know that I am an atheist. But, I am grateful to my friends (1is an atheist and 3 are theist who do not support any religion) who support me to live as an atheist :-)

Man invented god, to have somebody to blame for their ill deeds, and a thought to comfort their guilty conscience by thinking they have been "forgiven".. guess its easier to forgive yourself through an imaginary friend, than to face up to a person you wronged, look them in the eye and say Im sorry. I can understand how weak people can find comfort in that, never taking responsibility for anything.. But such people have no place to talk about morality, and should be ashamed... very ashamed.

@Abigail4Jesus u r stupid those verses are took out of context those are old testament laws God give to Moses to give to the Israelites. that doesn't mean God approves of slavery. in fact God sent Moses to go get Israel out of slavery. and in Mattew 5: 18-19 he is talking about sinners and people who uphold the law getting credit for what they did. maybe u should read the book. also it doesn't make us special for having a seat in heaven it makes us blessed.

I wouldn't think it to be true because of the lack of evidence, but I wouldn't mind it. However, that is NOT what religion generally does. It teaches that women are inferior to men and that non virgin women who marry should be stoned, for example. Also, it makes people do shitty things all the damn time.

@Abigail4Jesus If people actually did what their holy books told them to do, the world would be a very bad place. If you tried your best to follow every command, you'd be doing horrible things. Luckily, most people don't do that, but some of them do. It litterally says that in the bible that if you find a town where another god is worshipped, you should destroy that town and kill everyone in it - except the virgin women. You get to keep those.

Matthew 5:18-19
Luke 16:17
Matthew 5:17
2 Timothy 3:16
to name a few.
And in Mark 7:10 Jesus criticized jews for not killing disobedient children, as the old testament commands.
