The way to remove bacteria from your mouth is to BRUSH your teeth effectively, not use local antibiotic and chemical plaque control.
The pictures of improvement shown here could not have been achieved by the trays alone, the patient would have had scaling treatment too. Unfortunately you cannot cut corners if you have gum disease - to keep it from progressing further brushing and flossing is still the number one treatment. Sorry!
Around 3 minute mark they say that the disease was treated with the trays alone. This cannot be true. The patient has moderate to heavy calculus (tartar) that would require scaling and root planing (deep cleaning). In order to say that the disease was treated there should be a re-evaluation of the disease state 4-6 weeks after therapy, not in the 2 weeks they claim it took for the patient displayed.
