@sgtpepper1138 One problem I had when I tried it before is the reflection of the lights in the room. I'm going to ask the librarians if I can maybe use some dark cloth around the machines screen to amplify the lights as much as I can.
@sgtpepper1138 The dark cloth is a good idea, never thought of that. If your camera will let you put on a lens filter, a polarizing lens may also help with reflections & help with other pictures. Maybe one day I will be able to afford a digital SLR camera ;-)
@genealogyscrounge Yeah, or even some cardboard/posterboard (might be easier to mount) No doubt about a nice SLR camera. Thanks for the tip with the polarizing lens. I really would like to be able to digitize our city's (Grants Pass, OR) microfilm of our local newspaper (about 120 years worth)
@sgtpepper1138 I just found out that our Library's microfilm reader has a scanner in it and next to the Microfilm machine is a computer that's connected to the reader. So now this will make it much easier. Just bring in a thumb drive and i'm set.
Great video, I need to go into my library and start photographing stuff before it closes again.
