  • @flowerbellbottoms Thanks flower I really appreciate the comments! Peace!

  • I am really impressed. I usually hate seeing people trying to do the classics, but you really amazed me.

  • @twokeeneys Thanks I appreciate the comments!

  • Really good! :)

  • @ToneeRhianRose Thanks Tonee!

  • Well done.

  • @joshwuh88 thanks!

  • Billy that was absolutely inspiring and awesome. I am and old school dude and I love Sweetwater and Nansi Nevins. I thought she was better than Grace Slick and you BILLY have done great justice to this song. THANK YOU!!!!!

  • @dualpoletech yes Nanci was great I actually was lucky enough to meet her

  • @Billykid514 You lucky man, I would give anything to meet that soul. I was only 8 yearls old when my brother showed up at the house with the record and we were always jamming to it. I still have it but is in poor condition. Thanks to modern sound technology it was cleaned and transferred to cd and now I can enjoy Nanci and the band all the time...

  • Great drumming and song! :)

  • @KarenEng thanks Karen

  • Ohhhh I likes....very nice Billy and you too Nancy!!!

  • @leopardmary Thanks Mary

  • this song is so groovy....

  • yeah its a great tune

  • I would love to hear the What's Wrong with The schools song from Woodstock in 69. It's on the Cycles cd if somebody can post in on thanks !

  • Man, Billy is there anything you can't make sound even better?!? Always have been a Sweetwater fan;in fact I had forgotten this one. Thanks for the wonderful perfrormance and memory:^}

  • Yeah I met Nancy Nevins at Monterey 2007 awesome person

  • you are really good! i love this song are sure you arent the drummer for sweetwater lol?

  • my first song as a kid...just beautiful!!

  • Wow cool, yes she lost some of her vocal ability but she is alive and well living in California

  • I saw Sweetwater in 1969. What a show. Oddly enough they shared the bill with Traffic. That was a great concert, but a real mix of people. I thought Nancy Nevins had a terrific voice. I think she got in a car accident somewhere in 1970.

  • Someone actually playing along to Sweetwater! Wow! So I'm not the only one who has done this?! FAR OUT! Good job guy!

  • Thanks Matt great band I met Nancy Nevins at Monterey Pop 2007 she is a great person

  • Nice! I got the first album, a nice original pressing, back in 1998 and played it ALOT! Take a look at my playlists here on You Tube and you'll see what I'm all about! I see you have some of the same favorites as I do!

  • wow! pretty cool dude! I wish I could play like that!

  • Thanks for the comment

  • Awesome job! I love Sweetwater, they are an awesome group!!

  • Nice!!! Psychodelic music is pretty hard on drums...You did a good job! Sweetwater was the very first band to take the stage at Woodstock and IMO, they were even better than Jefferson Airplane at that time. Peace, Love & Thanks

  • The were scheduled first but Richie Heavens ended up opening the gig, sweet water ended up fifth. anyone knows why? just curious

  • not 100% sure, but I remember hearing something about the artists scheduled for the operning day were having a hard time getting to the site on time because of the traffic problems, helicopter scheduling problems etc. Havens was the first ready to go on stage and he played an extra long set cause no one else was ready. He ran out songs and started improvising. I guess the rest of the acts that first day just went on stage in the order they arrived and got ready.

  • they were 2nd due to getting there late (traffic)

  • They were artist #2. Richie Havens was the first to play

  • Good drumming man! Your kit & cymbals sound good to. Keep on rockin'

  • Thanks! DW drums Zildjian cymbals. I appreciate the comments. Rock on!

  • good stuff bro...Sweetwater is a group that was cut short...its a shame too.

  • yeah for sure they cut through a lot of barriers very innovative for the time musically and politically

  • For sure...cello, flute, and the pipes of Nancy Nevis...I got tuned to them by watching the VH1 movie...they are amazing

  • plus they had a black guy, a hispanic guy, a white guy and a white girl on vocals. They really broke the color barrier during trying times

  • YEAH I will do that tune when I return home to my drums at Christams thanks JP

  • cool...will be looking out for it.

  • I thought it was really good :D Relax on the fills a bit. Don't be restrained by trying to listen and imitating the drummer in the songs fills. Drumming I think is driven by feeling and when you have a solo part like in the middle that is almost jammy, just go for it. Great video!

  • DEFINATELY MY FAVORITE SONG MY SWEETWATER <3

um, to those of you who are looking for the mp3 of this song, just send me a message and i'm sure I can get it too you. I have the CD.

  • That was cool, do more psych songs on drums!

  • you are subcribed to me correct because I just posted some psych songs and I will be posting more

  • And once again, wonderful drumming there my friend, just watched the video 2nd time lol

  • WOW, once again, a great Classic! now I just need to find an mp3 of it. Are you into any other genres? Because I appreciate all kinds of different music, you'd probably be surprised, but I like anything from Slayer, Cradle of Filth to Rihanna and Akon, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Scorpions and of course the good ol' stuff from way before I was born. So I'm just wondering what else do you listen to?

  • Yes this song has been picked off by other artists. This band was way ahead of its time and this song is timeless. Thanks for responding and good to hear from someone who appreciate's the quality of this band.

  • Is it me or doesn't Madonna's Beautiful Stranger (or some parts of it) sound similar to this song? Thank you for posting the music. I've been looking for this track for the longest time. When I heard the soundtrack from the Austin Powers movie, Sweetwater's "In the Rainbow" first came to mind.

  • Were you a hippie? JW.

  • a hippie at heart grew up in Upstate NY land of Hippies

  • Thank you for exposing the world to some fine music!

  • THANKS FOR VIEWING
