MythBusters: Driving Blind Myth

You know the worst thing, the myth is based on a true thing. It happened in Cairo in the year 2000. A car-thief had gone blind from drinking methanol, and he stole a car, and his buddy instructed him around. I remember when an Egyptian told me about it, I responded with: You are just lying. I found out it was true when my then boss talked about the story which I had dismissed out of hand. Strange right?

@Beaviz81 If I remember correctly, this episode was based on a Finnish myth. It involved a blind a person driving the car, and the guy giving him instructions being drunk off his ass. And yes, this is also a real story -- it happened back in the 80's. There's even a Finnish documentary clip on YouTube that proves it happened. However, I'm sure that these two aren't the only incidents that have involved a blind person driving a car and an another person giving the driver instructions.
