I've heard a lot of bootleg and rare LED-ZEPPELIN recordings but this is one I'm not familiar with.Thank you for sharing this GREAT stuff right here.IN CONCERT AND BEYOND "LED-ZEPPELIN"!!! ROCK ON!!!!!
I never saw them when bonzo was alive but I swear to you that a day hasn't gone by since I was 14 which was 30 years ago that I haven't listened to a Led Zeppelin Song. I love these shows its like hearing something like a treasure. Great collections of vibrations!!!!! Amazing to tho stay.... Thank you!
I was there with my two pals from junior highwe came up on the train from Palo Alto...we were 14!! We didn't drop acid that day, but we were smoking a lot of pot. I remember we bought a 4 finger lid of Columbian Red....at least that's what the slimy dude who sold it to us said!! Lol!! I can't believe there's any footage of this show at all!!! At least this is the first I've ever heard of any...I'll never forget the show. It was SO Fucking unbelievable!!! The Tubes opened..what a day that was!!
@WhoMasterThePuppets yes, the photo is real. The reports I've found say that about 50,000 were there and Kesar wasn't a huge arena. It was very packed. Some of the photos may even be from Jimmy Page. While their stage was being set he walked around snapping shots, I remember his dark hair and a long white shirt and the crowd screaming every time we got a glimpse of him.
I was there in June 1973 about 100 feet from the stage, center field. The low notes made me vibrate. They had a huge array of speakers on either side of the stage. I think it was about 80 feet high, but I had also taken 4 hits of LSD so I'm not sure what was real and what was in slippery logic. Ah... if I could go back.
@broadpath check my video black dog in which i use some of the pictures that i took at the Let Zepp.. concert that like you i also attended who knows you might be in one of the pictures....peace and love !
@sacalepuntaatulapiz - thanks for the photos. I didn't see myself - I'm just one of those long-haired blond heads, however I did see the black flag that my group was sitting near. It is so fascinating the see detail of this show 38 years on! Even the ticket price - I remember how high it seemed to me at the time. $6.50. My friends and I spent most of the night at the gate so we were among the first to get in and we ran our asses off - sleeping bags fluttering behind - to get a good spot. Ha.
hey buddy, great concert!! I used to collect bootlegs of zeppelin in the 80's but have lost them all. So I was wondering, the three boots I remember the most is the one in Denver in 68, fractured rib, and alpha and omega do you have or know where I can get those? Thanks
@Conneyfogle I dont think it was mislabel. I remember on the album a guy saying give a warm denver welcome to led zeppelin and they opened with train kept a rollin. On the back of the album it said it was there first appearance in american. Who knows maybe you're right. But thanks I will look for those other albums
Awesome! I miss the reviews on how the band did in their various shows though. Like, you'll say that Robert is in decent form, but his voice is shot here and there. Or how Page's playing is good, but any mistake is fixed by a burst of musical genius. Lastly, that Jones and Bonham are always in great form. So if you wouldn't mind me asking, how do you think Led Zeppelin did in this concert. You explanations are better than mind, believe me. I like your standards.
@Conneyfogle Haha I love it. I'd go into a whole thing going off on a different planet if I were to give a review. Thanks. One last thing I'd like to ask. Which concert in 1975 did Plant have the best vocal performance? I want to say the Dallas show on the 5th of March, but I think you know. Thanks for your time.
@LedZepBoots 69 - 72. You can't omit shows like LA Forum and Long Beach from '72. Plus, '77, Plant's voice was back to excellent strength. No, not 68-72 strength, but much better than '75.
@LedZepBoots Long Beach! I've been trying to get that soundboard bootleg for a while now ever since it surfaced. I can't find the whole concert. I made an account on your Hard Rock Candy website so I could get it but it's in maintenance mode. When will that site be back up to the public?
I have what I believe to be the audience recording which is really good. I'm in pursuit of something better because I'm just picky haha. I hate to be, but high quality bootlegs is what I'm always after. Like the quality of the Live concert in Vancouver Canada in 1975. Great quality! The soundboard recording on Dazed and Confused is on Conneyfogle's channel and I tell, it's a must have for me. I love the concert that much haha

@jmyelz they are all available online, although Denver 68 wasn't recorded, I think it is mislabeled it must be 1970, I have some of it up somewhere

I'd say Dallas was ok for Plant, but lets face it, 68 - 71 were the Plant years

no need for a soundboard for Long Beach, as the Millard tapes are brilliant, just been listening to some, no quarter especially is great
