It is really hard to see anything in that video. You can't even seen when the officer drew the gun and you only see the gun in his had for second at the very end of the video. You can't tell if the person they were restraining had a weapon, if he tried to grab the officer's weapon, this video will only be able to be loosely corroborate eyewitness testimony.

To me it looked like the guy pulled his gun out to scare the man on the ground but got scared or nervous himself and pulled the trigger. But it doesn't make it right how they treated the fellow in the first place...

@MrPacMan36 That is true. When I was a cadet, they were teaching us about keeping our cool when situations were tense, and they demonstrated this by showing us a video. The video was of their police officers handcuffing a man on the ground; one officer cuffs, the other keeps their weapon fixed on the suspect, standard stuff. While this was happening, the officer with the pistol drawn became so nervous she fired her weapon by mistake, hitting right beside the man's head, on the pavement.

Big Time, guy didnt have a weapon. Already was in handcuffs, face first lying on the floor. Maybe he didnt cooperate a little bit, but that doesnt mean he deserves a shot to the back of the head. This video makes people realize that they are not safe even from the police we are supposedly protected by. It makes cops realize that they will be caught, they will be punished in one way or another way. What is most telling is how clearly the video shows the officers' reactions, which is shock and confusion. Sadly, I think he will be convicted of manslaughter, and not murder as he probably should be. The police serve at the behest of the people they are supposed to protect, and given extraordinary power to do this. They should be accountable to us, not the other way around.
