  • GREAT STUFF!

  • I suspect it's an IT string primarily attached to his left hand and then connected to an anchor in the back corner of the room. Additionally he uses his right hand to intercept the string occasionally whether it's between the anchor and the glass or between his left hand and the glass. A couple of give away are how he swings the wooden rod with a slight dip to avoid the string going towards hands or anchor. The cup can also slide along the IT which permits the appearance of it moving away.

  • @afalconsview still a beautiful act to watch though

  • omfg he uses neon string and runes it through it

  • hi franck

  • @MrsNoutmy

Hi, MrsNoutmy. I can also make you appear here. I could use magic, but I will probably send you an airplane ticket, instead. That would be safer for you. : )

  • WOooow cool! i dont even wanna know how its done ^^

  • I like your sound effects but I think I have something even better. It's the perfect song for this or any similar trick where you don't talk. If I had your email address I would send it to you. Best!

  • One of the things I really like about working with IT is that the illusion can sometimes be so good that it almost seems like magic for the person doing it. You can almost fool yourself! I'm sure you know what I mean. Seven of my grandchildren saw me do levitations so much that they get bored now! :-) But my youngest got such a kick out of it when I did it for her last week. I love to see the look on someone's face. I have always loved levitation tricks and the IT is getting better.

  • BTW, well done! After posting, I realized that I shouldn't have done so because we shouldn't give away the methods. But I always get a kick out of the magnet and mirror theories. :-)

  • BTW, I suspect that the fake glass is also the type that appear to have much more liquid in them than they do. They are really two glasses (in this case plastic) with a space between them so the water is in the space between them. You can't drink it and if you looked down in the :"glass" you would see that it doesn't have water in the center. That's to keep the weight down for the IT.

  • LOL! There's no magnets or mirrors! Why do people think magic is always done with mirrors and magnets? It's just invisible thread (IT). Go to the website for any magic supply place and you can be doing this trick in no time. For this trick, you will need a glass that looks like it's a regular glass but is instead very light plastic.

  • ZoneIII

You're perceptive. Good guess work. You're on the right track, but actually, there is only one glass (plastic) and the water is drinkable.

  • @FrankCoffman The only reason I mentioned the fake glass is the weight factor. Having been an amateur magician for 53 years now (since I was 7), I do very similar tricks. There isn't much water in the glass but, even so, your IT must be fairly strong. I generally use a traditional reel or a Spider Pen for this type of stuff.

  • Zonelll,

Yes, the IT is strong. It's not the usual IT used by magicians. I had to be careful not to break it. The key is to use it horizontally. This is my own illusion, but I'm not a professional magician.

  • That's good stuff. Yes, I knew you used it horizontally. I do very similar things only not with the glass of water. That is a cool twist.

  • just a mad idea, but do you reckon it might be on a bit of string, going through a hook on the eiling, attached to his shirt..? Maybe when he nearly touches the sting at 1.04 it's a giveaway....

  • how to loop if the cup doesn't tip? Looks like mirrors so that it bounces from above. He turns around alot perhaps for the mirrrors.

  • Nice magic. Did you invent that one or is it out there to be learned if a person doesnt mine looking and paying some $?

  • its noting new i can do it easy

  • it is used by profesional magicians to levitate things, its like a magnet, what did you use to make the glass float?? i always wanted to do that, because i can only make small things float..

  • hey how did you do that?? did you used M5 pk??

  • Hi, karldiablo1987,

    What is M5 pk?

  • Comment removed

  • Clear looped taped to bottom of and sides of glass with floss running through it. Ha Ha. Just guessing.

  • where can i learn this, it is so cool!!!

  • the force is srong with you obi wan

  • PuffOReilly,

You are very wise, my son.

  • ohh my Goddd.i didn't know this is you and you can do these kind of things..really impressive.i wnat to know the trick

  • If it's not fake, make the water float without the "glass" - I'm sure we'd all be interested to see that.

  • OVERPLAYED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You can use fish tread too lol

  • whats that loud ass noise?

  • alright man thats sweet!!! lol u gotta do a lesson on how to do one of ur tricks =)

  • sorry to kill the trick but at around 1:38 you can see what looks like copper wire going from his thumb to the cup

  • what????? dumbass he's using a stick all around, to prove that nothing is holding the cup, you chub

  • That man would be an excellent barman

  • its a plastic cup fool! so easy

  • its loops it so easy

  • thanks for the secret

  • its just invisible thread

  • dude nice, u should have levitated it to your mouth and take a sip

  • Se ven los hilos

  • how did you do that ?

  • Left hand always holds the wire. Sometimes the right hand manipulates the wire. This is especially clear at 1:47 when the right hand leaves the wire.

  • Actually, it's not wire. Wire would be seen. What he's using is called "Hoops" (a hoop of magician's invisible thread), and it's one of the best uses I've seen for it yet. I could tell about a quarter way through when he suddenly moves his hand as if he's removing it from something. I recognize this tell-tale sign because I've used hoops before for telekinesis tricks.

  • wow you showed the world the trick! Now it's going to bee less common. Some of us know how to do it, but you've spoiled it for everyone that belives in this kind of magic!

(and magicens will need a new way to levetate stuff now.)

  • Not necessarily. I've only revealed it here. Also, even if people know how it's done, I still use the trick myself, just because I can figure out variations on how to use it, solely to make people think I'm NOT using it. (I've developed a few failsafes for this old trick.)

  • HOOPS!?! If you actually used them you'd know they're called LOOPS. Anyway, he doesn't use Loops because they can't even lift a coin without breaking and they can stretch to about a foot at most. It's not real but this definitely isn't Loops, and obviously you've not used them.

  • @mboulet24 damn... good eye.

  • yeah i have that effect its alright but u cant perform it up close atleast 8 ft away

  • Wth starting at 1:00 haha =)

  • u can tell in the beggining wen he was doin the trick u could c a little bit of the string on his thumb.

  • It's invisible thread. It can be seen by the moves he made. One end of the thread is in the left hand and the other is behind the chair. It's so simple. Just watch when he elevates the srting with his right hand the glass elevates too...

  • ear? LOLs about 3:00??? ear pft

  • one its a plastic cup not a glass... and two haha lol string attatched to the back of his ear!

  • very very good performance and sound you are realy good you must have 5 stars^^

  • that's horrible...

  • that's horrible ?! then explain how he did it . i'm known all over the world for magic and i can't even explain it -can you?

  • u known all over the world for magic? HA not australia

  • Horrible?! Horrible?! If that is sooo horrible, than i'm sure you can do it!!! Post a video doing it!!!!!

  • Even though it's pretty obvious... he did well on performance and effort!

  • kinda ovious theres strings... duh.

  • omg ppl just use fishing wier its invisable !

  • ilike how obvious it is that he has string tied to his fingers and then to the sides of the cup

  • you can get invisible string anywhere, you just need to buy string with ends you can frey, and then you pick ONE of the little tiney hard to see strings for it to be INVISIBLE! muahah! pretty intense right.

  • i can do it u just need a invisible string

  • How does he get it Parallel?

  • very easily explainable, but I'll leave that to those who arent even able to try it themselves. i applaud your attempt.

  • what kinda store can u buy invisible string at like walmart or what for small levitations you could use hair off a brush

  • thats no real glass!thats just a plastic one! i have one of those!and hes using the invisible thread!

  • umm, why the fuck is he holding his left hand in the same, stiff fuckin' position all the time. And why doesn't he put anything between his left hand and his fucking glass...

  • theres a string. its kinda obvious, not a bad attempt tho xD

  • lets see you levitate the water string-man.

  • i saw string but it can fool others

i give it one thumb up

  • nice trick :]

    but didnt fool meh :D

one end of a string is tied to his left hand and the other end is tied somewhere on the bookcase :P

  • very neat trick. lets c ya do that with a bowling ball lmao

  • That high pitch that everyone is talking about sure sounds like a lawn mower...and you can clearly see light coming in through a window so it can't be that.

  • either strings, camera tricks or magnets, it was still done very nice

  • do u guys hear some background noices. It has something to do with high frequency of those sounds.

  • yah there is high frequncy and like howling and other stuff

  • why dont u try waving the stick between the cup and your left hand lol

  • it looks really kool but im not even a magicion and i could tell theres a string goin from something to the cup to ur hand

  • he has a string on his hand

  • very bad!!

  • attached to the ceiling and hand... notice how he didnt pass the stick between left hand an cup?

  • nice ine man just dont move it around to much it takes away that feeling og real magic wich you want the spectators to have

  • we can see the strings but nice effect

  • why dont u try waving the stick between the cup and your left hand

  • great effect

  • nice performance- impressive.

  • zzcaptainzz speak shit, i say great music great performance. and 5 stars

  • well its tied to his thumbs actually

  • thats impossible, when he set it down and moved his fingers away the glass didnt move

  • just a question.. when he gets that stick how can he still levetate the glass if he needs equal balance if he had strings.. If it was strings wouldn't it go to the right side?

  • Actually, the string is attached to his left hand and to the chair next to him :P

  • but will it blend

  • ok dude first of all u can see da strings second of all its not goin above ur hands so thats another reson nice try but we a lil smarter dan dat!

  • ok about 10 people already mentioned the dam string think about another explanation

  • its a good attempt, i admit, but hes no copperfeild, if he really wanted to be good he would have turned the cup upsidedown or at an angle, otherwise u can see that when it swings left a little, it slings contrastingly right slightly, suggesting a central point of structure, which manifests that it is indeed controlled by strings (besides the fact taht u can see it also)

  • sorry man you can see the strings

  • from his hand motions you can tell the strings are tied to his left and right thumbs

  • i could see the strings, and i knew exactly where he tied them

  • There's strings

  • i se a string tied in the corner of the room

  • at about 34 u see the shadow from the string on his right hand but its still decent

  • Some people can actually do that, I mean, Einstein picked up a chair with his mind when he got pissed once. I've gotten pretty close. You have to have the ability to access more than 10% of your brain power.

  • Yes, and also my dogs has wings and can sing the national anthenm of croatia.

  • Acutally people do use more than 10%. Scientists know what every part of the brain is for, the saying is that people typically only use any 10% at one time.

  • You may be right, but the title, Magic levitation of a glass of water, of course its an illusion though, but hey, i believe u can do that, in fact, science shows, that most people only use 10% of there brain, some people use 90%, but where is the other ten?

  • STRING tied to things int he room

  • dude fuck u no u cant, at least its not that odvious

  • wow the power or ur left arm and clear thread.

  • dude i can see those strings its so ovious

  • That was well executed... A refreshing change.

  • nice job ...work alil about making the floating motion rather then dropping the cup great job ..
