Just a quick Vegas question...

When I render my videos in Vegas Pro 9 as wide-screen and upload them to Youtube, the video is squished and there are two black bars on the sides. how might I fix this?

I'm pretty sure there's something in the render settings you have done wrong.

Just check your settings over again, and maybe check out some tutorials for uploading HD videos on YouTube.

It was a great comp and I had I lot of fun. I really liked watching everyones videos. I had only 2 disappointments. 1) None of the judges commented on my video. Maybe next year you could have the judges leave a comment on each video even if its just "Video received and watched." 2) I got a lot of possitive comments 4 which I am greatful but no one offered any critique or suggestions. This is a great chance for us all to improve and get lots of contructive critisism. Well looking 4ward 2 next yr

- I don't know if this is just me, but the annotation on "Radiothaxx" doesn't work. Nothing happens when I press it.

- Also, as I already said, The annotation for "TheForsakenShoe" is linked to "TheFirsakenShoe", which is no user, so it leads to an error.

Those are just some stuff you should fix with the annotations. ^^

- The annotation for evilbender47 is linked to "evilbendender47", so it doesn't work.

@thumpernicus Alex, are we watching the same videos, sir? The winning video CLEARLY showed entrapment right from the opening scene. And the second revealed entrapment by the hypnotic powers of a monster.

The "trapped" theme was left to interpretation as Rich stated. It could be physically or psychologically trapped, whether the theme was stated thru out or only revealed in the last scene.

Writing something like that, after a contest is over,.......sour grapes, man!

I was an audience member who felt this vid did not deserve the 1st prize.  I had legitimate reasons for my opinions too. I am not leaving vulgar rants. However, the comments left on 99% of this contests videos are blatant arse kissing with almost NO constructive criticism to be seen. I never said this vid. sucked. I just thought others did a better job.

@thumpernicus Queenofevil is right...the theme Trapped was open to interpretation. In the original video I explained that it could be physically trapped or psychologically trapped etc etc the threat of some obstacle to overcome to gain freedom etc etc!

@richw4 I know what the definition of trapped is, both physically and psychologically. However this is a damnably loose interpretation. "The threat of some obstacle to overcome to gain freedom.." is better defined a "challenge" or "obstacle". Being trapped (phys. or psych.) is quite a different situation. If you are in a labyrinth you're not trapped, if you fall into an oubliette in that labyrinth, you are trapped. Anyway, I respect your right to judge. I simply disagree, that's all.
