  • The 5th Beatle

  • You say Lady Gaga, I say The Doors

You say Hannah Montana, I say The Rolling Stones

You say Owl City, I say Led Zeppelin

You say Jonas Brothers, I say The Beatles

You say Justin Bieber, I say Queen

You say Taylor Swift, I say AC/DC

95% of teens these days listen to the same crappy pop over and over again. If you're one of the 5% who still listens to real music, thumb this up, then copy & paste it to at least five videos. Don't let the spirit of rock and roll die

  • it feels great to see Kurt Cobain singing Hey Jude!!!

  • "Type PRIZE before youtube and hit enter"

  • I LOVE THIS MOVIE!

  • wow... it's kurt cobain!!!

  • the beginnign sounds autotuned

  • i love this song...but the voice is very...commercial and the original seems to have a much better 'feel' to it..still I commend the effort put in here!

  • don't carry the world upon your shoulders... John.

    and John went

  • @xoxonceuponatimexox

     rita - lovely rita

i cant remember the guys names right now :P

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM <3

  • Yeah I uploaded this before the movie came out and these mini clips were the only thing that were out there. Just never deleted them. The full clips are all over YouTube if you want them.

  • Why even bother? There are plenty of others who actually posted the entire clip.

  • that's it?

  • @Ozzy0sbourne no. . .its longer. . .

  • That's what i was saying, just in a smartass way.

  • @Ozzy0sbourne ohh isee

  • yeah for me every body look like a legend of rock

jimi hendrix, kurt cobain, paul mc cartney, janett joplin, but for lucy and prudence i don't know

  • I Love love love Jim Sturgess and Joe Anderson. The beatles are my fave as you can tell from my icon and bg. LOL.

  • did you guys know that this song was written by Paul for John's son, Julien during his father's divorce. correct me if i am wrong. i read this online on a beatles website about song inspirations.

  • you're right

  • @kidwithstyle123 yeah your right, paul originaly had it "hey jules" but he thought it was to big of a mouth full so he changed it to "hay jude"

  • @kidwithstyle123 you sir are spot on.!(:

  • dude that guy looks like Kurt Cobain from Nirvana lol oh i just seen what everyone else worte i feel dumb now lol

  • @FallenTy He plays Kurt Cobain in another movie i think

  • The guy who plays max looks so much like Kurt Cobain

  • yeah, actually his character pretends to be kurt cobain.

  • the one guitarist is basically jimi hendrix

  • Love the movie! :)

  • oh crap i was lookin at beatles songs and found this, now i feel like i gotta watch it lol

  • I'm Not There is just indescribably so much better than this movie. At time ATU was enjoyable, but other times I just cringed.

  • I love the beatles and specifically this song

  • The fantastic thing isi get gitty like a school girl everytime i hear this song cus it has my name in it. :) but thats beside the point. this song rox. as did the movie it makes it a little bit easier for the current society to enjoy the neatles and all thier glory

  • I didn't enjoy the movie either, but for different reasons. I actually like the soundtrack and the scenes were pretty good, but i thought the story was incoherent, there were to many subplots and characters. And I thought there were too many songs.

I LOVE The Beatles songs but the number of songs they had was insane, and it just seemed like most of the times the scenes were forced in there to showcase more songs, as opposed to developing a solid story. This scene felt more like it belonged.

  • wow your so wrong

  • Wow. That's really funny. How is my OPINION wrong? All I did was give my thoughts on the movie. Then some YouTube douche bag had to come and tell me that I'm wrong. Get a life, man.

  • why only 45 seconds?

  • I love this song C':

  • I think its the best movie ever!!!

  • Paul's better.

  • Is this the movie, Hey Jude?

Came out in like 2007, 2008?

  • no, it's the movie Across the Universe

  • Oh okay did it come out in 2007, 2008?

  • It came out in 2007 :)

  • Oh okay i was watching it on a WestJet Plane on my way to Cancun, Mexico and i didn't know what the title was, at the End of the Movie does the guy Sing a song and the last picture you see is a Girl smiling at the boy?

  • Yes. That's also the intro scene.

  • "All you need is love"

  • a scene that makes ur boyfriend have to step up

  • hahaha true!

  • i think this is my favorite part of this movie

the only part i don't like really is the middle part where they're all high...i reminds me of Yellow Submarine (Which gave me nightmares as a child) lol

  • I like jojo

  • When i bought the dvd i was expecting to hate it, but i was pleasantly surprised. yes, some bits are a bit cheesy, but, at best, the film managed to give a fresh take on beatles song which didn't ruin the original, a pretty rare occurence.

I'm a massive beatles fan, but i think that people who make them out to be some untouchable gods are just stupid. you have to remember that after all, the Beatles were just a band.

  • Joe Anderson *_*

  • i love this vidio...the beatles are brilliant

  • i love this song...it makes so much sense the beatles are truely amazing!

  • fuck you could've showed the whole song!!!!!!!

  • Loved the movie, loved this song. Can someone give me a download link?

  • what??? hey jude is disgusting??? how???

  • the movie lacked depth and originality. I love Hey Jude, I hate across the universe.

If you're looking for pretty faces and a huge, generic stereotype of the 1960's and don't mind the poor plot that is riddled with cliches then this is the movie for you.

  • i liked the movie. but anyway there are some movies that i don't like but i wouldn't say they are disgusting. like that's really harsh. i would just say that i don't like it.

  • defecating on a masterpiece is disgusting. you act like i've insulted a person. it's just an opinion and this is just a movie.

  • i'm not saying u insulted someone, I"m just saying that like disgusted sounds like, "Ugh i htae it so much it disgusts me" Idk, just like I have never heard someone describe a movie (like this) as disgusting.

  • well, i am a big fan of quality music and this movie to me was a slap in the face to what i consider art. sorry you don't like my choice of words, but that's truly irrelevant, the point is- the movie lacked substance.

  • whatever dude!!!! seriously!!!! lighten up!!!! it's a freaking movie not like a life or death situation. :-P Not to be stalker-ish or anything, but how old r u? cuz it's usually teenagers watching this movie but teenagers don't usually talk like that.

  • i like the beatles and i thought that this was an intrasting take on it, the way they mixed in the songs did kinda ruin some of the sences, but i did love the movie

  • thank u!!! that sounds more like someone talking about a movie not a lecture!!!

  • You're right, you are able to share your opinion. Thus here is mine.

In able to fully appreciate this movie, you really have to be in depth about the metaphors. 99% of itis a reference and if you would like for me to name even a few to prove my point I will. The depth and controversey is never blunt within the film, but rather just explained through the music which I must say was done beautifully by the many actors and actresses. This is no cliche deary, if you wan't to see one, this isnt it.

  • I would have to disagree with the whole references thing. For instance, in the scene where Jude was sitting in the kitchen. He was drawing an apple, the Beatles symbol. The first scene takes place where the first beatles concert was held. The last scene, their last concert. The blue men in the Mr. Kite scene were from we all live in the yellow submarine. When Jude gets his paycheck, the song "When I'm sixty-four is subtly mentined." Yes, some references are blunt, but others are harder. So

  • So, please, as I was saying don't say that. I agree, it is extremely hard to do Beatles cover with even giving them the slightest justice. But, they did very well for what they were called out to do. Some songs weren't that great, I'll give you that, but all in all it was put together in a beautiful way with great talent. I will give you, some charectars had no beneficial purposes, and some scenes really had nothing. But, this movie was well produced, directed, and just all together well done.

  • I think the website rotten tomatoe's consensus summarizes my thoughts best: "Psychedelic musical numbers can't mask Across the Universe's clichéd love story and uninteresting characters."

It isn't so much the covers that I didn't like. It was the lack of plot and dependence of flashy imagery to evade the fact that the plot was lacking. I got all those references as well. References don't make a story good. The story and characters were weak and that is basically the point of movies.

  • I can completely understand your point of view. The story was very focused on the sixties, many of the scenes real. It was not exactly a lack of plot, it's trying to find the suggested plot that is a large issue. Many things the viewer must interpret which causes some people to believe there is no plot, but, I must say, there is. And I'm very happy about you just not sitting there and coming up with irrelevant reasons which bothers me about so many of the people who don't agree with the film.

  • well then we can just agree to disagree

  • I completely agree with that

  • I think wrong, the point of a movie is not the plot, but the storytelling. The heart of filmmaking is supposed to be storytelling and I feel that whatever story you take from it Across the Universe does an amazing job at it. I also have a huge appreciation for art and subtlety which makes me love Across the Universe as the art was so amazingly done in all aspects (including the "art of storytelling")

    (the rest of the sentence)

i always think of this, when i see my friend Michael.

  • @Peaveydude93 Hmm, I think you're thinking of Michael Pitt

  • @Peaveydude93 That was Michael Pitt

  • its steve prefontaine!

  • Oh my god, you're right, only Cobain is still to controversial to make a movie about, I think. If there was going to be a movie about an incredibly musically inclined stoner, it would have been about Jerome (Jerry) Garcia, Eric Clapton, or... who was that black guy?... riiiiiiiiight. JAMES MARSHALL HENDRIX

  • i agree with him playing kurt cobain

  • wow hes qute:D and talented.. but would ask you guys about if any of you would be soo kind and watch my first video about evan rachel wood, just found out who she is, and have made some other vids about other stuff, and would like 2 know what yo think of the style the vid is??

  • I thought I was the only one who thought this would be a perfect Kurt

  • Man, Joe Anderson should play Kurt Cobain in a movie.

  • yes he would be perfect, he looks just like him.

  • YES, he looks so much like him

  • Joe Anderson makes a great war-torn veteran :D

  • yesh.

he also makes a very sexy man. =D

  • I LOVE JUDE

  • I saw the movie 21, and the main character,is played by Jim sturgess. I thought he looked a lot like a young Paul McCartney. And now,he is in this movie

  • eekk!

  • all the songs in this movie are beetle songs andd the movies name is a beetles song my mom said so

  • Well, your mom is right. ;)

  • joe anderson ♥

  • OK. At first, when I started watching the movie with a couple of friends, I thought it was going to be a slow movie that was kinda boring. Then, after a while, I realized that the movie wasn't boring, it was good. I love the movie and the way they used the songs are creative. It was a good movie and this must be one of my favorite scenes/songs from the movie. If you've never seen it, you should try watching it.

  • nice

  • i love joe anderson he is soo hotttttttt!!!!!!

  • good as the original!

  • omg i love this song and movie!! jim sturgess and joe anderson are amazing!!

  • this is the best scene in the movie by far!

  • pretty good!

  • No one gives a crap what you think, Kompan7.

    This movie is awsome.

  • i like original better but this is good too

  • The best movie ever! Well, almost=)

  • I'm using these songs to reignite my love for the Beatles. God I do love it.

  • i love this songgg.

me and my boyfriend watched this movie together and it was amazingg

  • jim sturgess is soooooooooooooooo hott!!!!!!!!

  • thats cause they had to tie the songs into the movie. it's basically:

*Beatles songs* *life* *drugs* *sex* *drama* *beatles songs* But i love how they're remixed :D

  • he's so cute

  • omg i want to see this movie sooooo bad!! was it in theaters already or what cuz i havent seen any advertising for it or anything!

  • I've seen it in theater at Belgium.

  • omg serious?! was it with the same people? aaaahhhhhhh i want to see it so bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is a scene from the movie. It was good. The music was amazing. I highly recommend it.

  • it's sooooo good!!! don't watch too many scenes because it'll spoil it!~

  • It came out in theatres here last year....North America, I picked it up on DVD a couple of weeks ago.... it was released on DVD at the end of February i believe....

  • ugh thnx so much i HAVE to get it!!!!!!!!!! is it good?

  • Its good, really good... but you have to be a BIG beatles fan to see it...theres like a total of a half hour of dialouge in the entire film.... the rest of it is all musical performances

  • yah stop bringing this movie down! It's fantastic!!!! It's just a directors point of veiw, and how she put it into film. No one's trying to take the beatles down. Jeez...

  • best movie ever!!!!!!!!

  • CHEEYAA!

  • The Beatles version is great, but I also like this one 'cause its a little more rugged.

  • stop tearing this movie down. Some scenes in this movie aren't that great and of corse no one cna compare to the beetles but it's an ok movie

  • ill stop tearing down the movie if people stop tearing down the beatles.

  • max is hott!!

  • he is really good at singing

  • this was not the best scene. but this song is AMAZING!!

  • true that.;]

  • I love this song!

  • it was a great movie about the sixties and it showed how with all the hurt and pain of war, love still really conquers all, and it is all that really matters, plus the beatles wrote songs that are simply amazing

  • yes i agree. It's always ther for you.
