  • I recognize the expression she makes after asking a question in the interview. It's the face women make when you're trying to explain to them (for example) Einstein's take on gravity.

So it's not that she actually is a shallow barbie doll. She could probably talk for hours about reporter techniques, clever tricks and human psychology. But as for the LHC she simply doesn't understand the answers she's given.

  • HiAdrian, this is a complex topic, and EVERYONE is new to the LHC, so let her get her groove - she's obviously smart, and easy on the eyes, so everyone just chill, and start making intelligent posts.

Why do we look for particles when everything is a wave?

And don't forget there are an infinite number of 'divisions' between any 2 numbers, so are there infinite 'slices' of a given energy (lepton/hadron)? They seem to be missing a key concept - it is the SHAPE that contains the 'secret' to OM

  • As soon as they find Zeus, im gonna crack open a can of Guinness and raise my glass to the old boy!

  • I can't wait till they find the Zeus particle! All hail Lord Zeus! Thank you science for proving the existence of Zeus, Appollo and other immortal gods of the universe. etc.

  • Not at all, this is how they break the ice to the general public.

  • There is nothing wrong with a sexy barbie doll presenting science, right?

  • No matter how hard this woman tries, she comes off as a shallow barbie doll. Paola isn't exactly the brightest either, but they could've done a lot with these interviews. Shame because the topic is great.
