  • She doesn't sound like a vocaloid :/. She sounds real :( I say FAKE

  • OH MNA! >< I WAS GONNA MAKE AN OPERA VOCALOID!..OH WELL..SHE SOUNDS AWESOME ANYWAYS..; A ;

  • Whoa...Prima sounds...Whoa...Fuck Miku, I'ma stalk this girl...Just whoa... *mind blown to fucking smitherines by unexpected awsomeness* I think I'ma bout to cry damnit I diddn't expect sutch beauty T.T

  • @ThePinkDango

    X3

Okay, if you're going to continue, then you should probably PM me.

    We don't want to spam...

  • @ThePinkDango

Okay then... Moving on with my life in 3...2...1.

  • @ThePinkDango

    That's not Prima's real appearance...

  • She sounds so real. Technology, am I right?

  • The Pisture is a photoshped version of Amy Winehuse !

  • やっぱprimaすげぇな・・・。

    これで何で曲作らないのか。

    潜在能力は初音ミク以上なのに・・・もったいない。

  • This is actually pretty amazing. I only started checking out Vocaloids because someone told me about Prima. She sounds a lot more real than the others I've heard, though maybe it's the operatic style of sustained notes.

  • Prima has a beautiful voice, and people try to make her sing stuff like typical vocaloid songs that are really hip hop or fast. If her voice is used to opera like it's supposed to, she can pwn the other vocaloids.

  • Wow. YOUR GOOD AT USIN VOCALOID!!! But the image.... idk.

  • Prima is the most real sounding Vocaloid, in my opinion. <3

  • @BlackTurtwig Gumi

    'nuff said

  • I actually sang this aria while cosplaying as Luka a couple of months ago, wish I'd known at the time that there was an operatic vocaloid out there!

  • That was amazing!

  • SEE people THIS vocaloid is MADE for opera (still pretty delicate and not quite up to par with a real opera singer but thats not the point) SO people should stop trying to make freaking Miku or other POP vocaloids sing opera, they sounds so terrible!!

  • @MrCandyHouze

And stop making opera intended vocaloids sing pop...Tonio poker face? No thank you.

People just like making Vocaloids sing songs they're not meant to sing...

  • @mirai679 Never knew about Tonio until your comment. Poker face does sound aweful. D: And why do they insist on making a anime version of him too? He's actually represented by a real guy! Fans...

  • @MrCandyHouze

Yup. They're too used to the Japanese Vocaloids with anime avatars. There's Tonio. Right there. On the box. His image suits him. Don't go changin it. >>

Yeah, Tonio's been overshadowed by all the Japanese Vocaloids. Lily & Mizki were getting all the hype, while Tonio was just...there...no attention...

Tonio...can't wait until people start using him right. His voice is great...

  • @mirai679 It was because Tonio was so late being released, when he was initally planned to be released, he had a couple of months to get love. Instead he got overshadowed by a blonde hbabe whose outfit looks like it could slip off at any moment. Who do you think the Japanese will buy out of THAT choice alone?

  • @AngelEmfrbl well, i was one my ipod and i saw this comment and i just had to....

i dont know, but this is so wrong. Since Tonio is an english vocaloid, i'm sure he'd be pretty unheard of in japan. And the main group of people who make vocaloid songs ARE the japanese, so.. tonio, prima and so on have english coding, and, you know what? japanese dont know english. at least, not many, other then a few phrases. so of course, lily and iroha would be their choice. they can ACTUALLY use them.

  • @Moirah148 Actually in Japan, English is a required language that is taught in every middle school and high school in the country.

  • @mirai679 as for you, keep in mind that people are not just used to anime avatars, its a matter of wanting to make a personalized picture of the one who is singing, if they want to make a picture of prima or tonio singing opera, rather then just paste a picture of them and leave it, let them. its not like they can just call up the person they used for tonio's photo and kindly ask him to pose for them, so instead they draw it, since they simply cant do that. as for the other statements, below↓

  • wow :O it doesnt even have that robotic-kind of sound...its so clear!!!beautiful!!

  • This is the first Vocaloid Voice that sounds good...

  • I LOVE THE OPERA VOCALOID!

  • great song, TERRIBLE picture,

she has a button nose AND a hooked nose?

  • omg this is a vocaloid !?!?!?!

  • Finally a good song by Prima! The other videos I saw of her made her voice sound weird >_>

  • This is where Prima shines.

  • Someone should make her sing a cover of the Opera scene from The 5th Element.

  • Holy.

    Shit.

  • Simply gorgeous!

  • i wish u show ur monitor so i can see the line and tune...

  • Wow, this is absolutely amazing! I love it ^^

  • I WOULD PICK SLEEPING BEAUTY FROM DISNEY OVER THIS!spry but i just like sleeping beaty better. or the miku opera by sibladeko(its on utube)

  • No, I am sorry, you are wrong Kenji-san. This is not a singer singing - this is Vocaloid Prima singing - what would be the point of having the singer do it? The song is on the product to show you what Prima can do if you know how to program Vocaloid correctly. I have the original Vocaloid file so I know for sure.

  • Beautiful singing.

  • Wow. Sounds Very realistic.

  • i must say i dont hate her but she does sound real XD

  • i lmfao at her face XD

  • Sounds too cool!

  • omg, I thought it's.. omg.. it's so beautiful and realistic!

  • WOW!

Prima is really fluent compared to other vocaloids!

  • The picutre looks like a bitch. Like saying " Ew, wtf? Who are you !"

  • LOL, her mouth. XD she sounds sooooooo realistic! *___*

  • Prima sounds great when used by the right user and actually for opera. She's seriously is probably one of the most realistic sounding ones when used properly.

  • this bitch just gave me an ugly face

  • she sounds so pretty :)

  • prima is the first vocaloid to make mw almost go to sleep.

  • ohmygosh! Sounds so realistic!

  • wow, can't even tell it's a program.

  • Goes to show you how breathtaking Vocaloids can be with the right user... 0.0 I'm absolutely stunned. Thumbs up to whoever made this! ^^

  • Whoa she sounds amazing here!

  • Wow!

  • i wish someone can make her sing phantom of the opera x3

  • @christine326 that's what i've been wanting too! :D

  • Prima has such a beautiful voice for opera. She was made for that reason, right? ;P

It barely has any electronical sounds when she changes her pitch. I love this world. xD

  • wonderful

  • really. PRIMA DID NOT GET A MAKEOVER.>:(

  • Prima doesnt look like that XP

  • really...

    then what is her appearance?

    y'see, im collecting Vocaloids appearance.

    its just a hobby...

like others what does she always wear?

    the color?

  • Often times Prima wears either a short, spunky white-and-pink suit-and-mini-skirt combination with high boots and a white top hat for 'casual' performances. For more 'regal' performances, she wears a green and black, simple european dress with gloves. Her hair is black.

  • Prima doesn't wear anything. Technically she's a face with lips looking up from the official boxwork. She was given fan-made clothes design in an attempt to make her like her popular japanese counterparts.

There are no 'set' boundaries, she can be dressed anyway the user wishes her to be.

  • And what ever happen to Lola Vocaloid?

  • Actually, Prima has no official appereance.

  • ....o_o I can't believe this is a vocaloid singing... it sounds WAY too real!!

  • you're so right there!!!

  • This is lovely. <3

  • Cool song but SRSLY THE IMAGE IS NOT PRIMA DDD:<

  • @senelstella Prima has no official look.

  • Wow-

  • I still cannot get a hold of this program, which sucsk because i tried it at a friends house and i can tell you it's the best vocaloid i've ever used.

  • i can send you the application.

  • If only the Vocaloid 2 voices came out this well.

  • It is a Vocaloid 2 voice.

  • @RottenGospel It depends on the maker's skills.

Even the best voice in the world would sound rubbish in rough hands...

  • miley cyrus is a bätch. xD

  • its true Ô__e

  • Really pretty. ^^

  • She sounds so real. * A * //

    But that picture is really spooking me . . . xDD ;;

  • whats wrong with her face? Is she disgusted by me? WELL IM SORRY D:<

  • shes a prima donna. They are the main singers in an opera house because of their high saprano range. They are the best in the opera house and they know it so they're a bit stuck up and bitchy so no wonder her face is like that.

  • @ACLaugh

She does look a little snooty, doesn't she.

  • @ACLaugh I LOVE U PLZ MARRY MEH :E

  • @ACLaugh whoe ver drew this, should be shot, and her anime collection confiscated

  • @ACLaugh WELL EXCUSE MEEEE

  • The picture is fucking ugly D:

    She has black hair =/

But the song is very beautiful ^^ she has a nice voice.

  • nice ^^

but the drawing is awfull. she does look like shes: WTF

  • her voice souds like it shold be in fallout 3 music

  • Although the music is beautiful, her face is like, "What the @#$% are you looking at?!".

  • LOL!

  • Comment removed

  • amazing.

  • Primas picture looks kinda stuck up...dosen't suit her voice at all (lovley song btw!!)

  • The voice is okay, and it's arranged very well for a non Japanese Vocaloid. I find the non Japanese ones hard to work with.

Then again, that may be because I am Japanese... But this was done well.

I would like to hear Der Hoelle Rache with Prima's voice.

  • There's one around, but it sounds very choppy.

  • I don't like Prima's art in this one. The music is lovely however.

  • :/ Same. This artist hasn't studied human anatomy, thats why it's off. It also looks like she's about to sneeze or something. ._. Pretty music though.

  • She sings more that English.

  • si ch en opera me gusta como queda este programa esta bueno en este estilo de musica

  • Impressive, what these vocaloids can do.

  • horrible picture

    :P

  • her pose tels me "wtf am i doing here?"

  • Mon coeur s'ouvre a ta voix by a Vocaloid? ^^

  • terrible art.

  • It is? I like it. It's a preference in style, but the style itself seems to be developed well, so whether you like the style or not is totally irrelevant to whether the art is "terrible" or "good".

  • "Her" pronunciation is too English-like, but everything has such an odd taste :/ And you can understand at once that it's a computer-created voice, sometimes it sounds like a theremin! :P

  • be free to hate me for this but

I don't really like the English Vocaloids

    Sorry ^^''

Though this is well made :D

  • they were english vocals..?

  • there are english characters and japanese characters. :/

  • I only like Sweet Ann and Prima.

The guys all sound horrible, though.

  • I know. Gakupo is my favorite.

  • I would have to agree.

  • beautiful

  • oh, wow, this is fantastic work ... please make more. <3

  • lola and prima sound so realistic, it is kind of scary ^_^

  • my cats name is Lola O.O...

  • ...wow...random...but mine's comet. :3

  • I dont even know why I said that O.O im confused xD oh well :)

  • As a recording engineer this is fantastic, listen and open your mind!

  • I love it, do you have to buy? this program I am utterly confused.

  • yes you buy it. its about $170 per voice add on.

  • Per voice? Wow...

  • yup it comes with 4 to start i think. then you have to buy all the others and if you want Japanese voices you have to have the Japanese version of vocaliod ( which personally think sounds better) and still buy the voice add ons which i think are about the same price except for Vocaliod 2 it comes with a couple more but you can't use the old ones.

  • beautiful

  • Prima fits operas more then other genres

  • SURREAL

  • I've gotta say, there's something both amazing and horrifying about this.

  • Why is it horrifying?

  • That a machine can sound so much like a human? that's my guess, though it still requires humans to make it, humans to tune it... In the end, it's still humans.

  • YES, but for how long!!?

  • This is such a complicated issue, I can't begin to cover it in under 500 characters. The short and inadequate answer is it's still gotta be people.

  • humans are simply machines of a different kind.

    flesh-metal , both machines

  • Prima is one of the Vocaloids who can sing very AWESOME opera! :D

  • I think that if the artist pours his/her heart and soul into creating a piece such as this it could evoke emotion, such as the same case with a painting or otherwise.

  • they actually compiled the voices from several sources so that it would be unique and wouldn't replace the actual singer.

  • プリマたんすげええええええ!!!!!!!!

  • I would so buy tickets if Prima were real

  • well, there are real opera singers. The machine is the illusion, Alessandra Coletti is the reality.

  • I would love to hear Prima sing Nessun Dorma. ^^

  • Nessun Dorma is an aria for "tenor" from the opera Turandot by Giacomo Puccini

  • Oh, this is so much better than Miku... The vibrato isn't messed up... and it sounds real. ;; <3

  • Wish someone would use Prima Vocaloid for Phantom of the Opera; Miku's voice is too high-pitched for it. I'd like to hear PV do "The Magic Flute" too.

  • There's something extremely broken with the formant filtering here - maybe it's the youtube compression tho. The prosody is spot on tho - but since the formants are so strange (at 57seconds the performance turns unexpectedly nasal!) it would be just as beautiful (and less distracting) if the pitch were mapped onto an instrumental part.

  • breath-taking!

    love and meow

  • :P I think this program is proof that oneday voice actors will be replaced with computers, adjust the pitch to the exact tone to match the character you want instead of having the same 5 voice actors in all the American anime dubs :P

  • There's a problem with that. First off, computers cannot evoke emotions. Second, the computer voices have to come from somewhere else so someone is still providing a voice.

  • If you mean they can not evoke emotion intrinsically then you might be correct. Thats to say feel an emotion and utilize that. However, if you mean extrinsically (evoke emotion in others) then you would be wrong. Clearly with the popularity of vocaloids they evoke emotions in listeners around the world regardless of the specific emotions.

  • Machines probably can't be made to feel. However, they could without a doubt be made to have the illusion of having emotions. Once AI gets far enough it's possible that for a user looking at a machine it would seem for all the world like they have emotions. But as to weather or not a machine itself is feeling, we could never tell. It and only it would ever know.

Speeking of vocaloids, look for Rin/Len's "Kokoro"

It's not really all that meaningful, but it's an interesting story and decent song

  • Etnachan & TheVideoGuardian both have good points. Because Volcaloid is a computer it can not have emoitions - at least one wouldn't think so- however the song may create emoitions inside of people. Bacially, one's heart is listening to the song not the singer, therefore one is swayed by the words & not the one singing them - if that all miraculously makes sense ^^;

  • I've watched "Kokoro", and I cried all the way... It is masterpiece! And it show us how lucky humans are, because we have "kokoro" that sometimes we ignore about how important "kokoro" in life is.

I'm a big fan of the twins after watch that vid! XD

  • me too!

  • The Vocaloid vocals in this are amazing.

The picture nearly made me shit bricks.

  • no offense, but that pic is ugly...

  • best vocaloid vocals ive hgeard so far!

  • Prima is not an image is a voice, is THE VOICE

  • Well, finally found volcaloid's website. It's funny, it's so obvious I never thought of it. But, I never realised it's been around for the past four years. They have really came a long way for voice development, though I hope someday to hear of it straight from a computer with real speakers, not filtered by Youtube.

  • Wow, what a powerfull voice. My friend played this for me and when he told me it was a computer, I was nearly brought to tears.

  • is prima a real vocaliod or fanmade idk plz help

  • Of course Prima is real. In fact, she is singing in the video! She sounds really natural, doesn't she?

  • cool is that what she looks like? is there a better pic of her

  • Well, the one shown in the video is not her official picture ´n_n`. In her boxart she appears as a pale woman with green eyes and black hair. Fanarts often portray her wearing black or pink opera dresses, and her hairstyle varies depending of the artist who draws her.

  • cool thx for letting me kno

  • I really like the Prima vocaloid. Very powerful voice for a virtual program! ^_^

  • Isn't Prima's anime rep. white haired with a ponytail? (and most often shown emo and drunk...?)

  • No that's Vocaloid Yowane Haku.

  • I've never seen a Vocaloid Haku... Where do they come from?

Also, what person decided to mark down my previous comment? I see nothing objectionable about it...

  • Vocaloid Yowane Haku is a fanmade character.

She is supposed to be a symbol for the people who give up and cannot make songs with the program (because it's so difficult) or something. xD That's why she is depressed.

  • I posted some pictures on photobucket of her.
