Your hair is very pretty! :-) I went natural about two years ago, and I kind of miss it, just because it was easier to comb, LOL. I came across this video while doing a google search for hair care tips... All these comments that seem to bash one hair type or the other... Hair is hair, no matter what you do to it, and you can always make it look great. Love your natural hair, love your relaxed hair, the point is to just LOVE it!
i have natural hair i trim it every 6 weeks and its changed texture over the years from being really thick breaking combs to being quite naturally straight i can straighten my hair once and it will stay like that 4 days without me wrapping it etc. Im going to dye my hair and i think it would look better straight but im scared it will break my already mostly straight hair.

As I read through the comments, I'm just wondering why the natural "ladies" (a term I use loosely in some cases) even bother to watch a video that features someone with relaxed hair. Are you on a mission to coerce people to your cause? I don't get it. I rarely see a relaxed bashing anyone in the natural world. Not that it doesn't happen, I just don't see as often.
@olivers64 Relaxing your hair is one thing - relaxing it because you're ashamed of your hair texture is another. Unfortunately, most black women do it because of the latter. Let's not pretend as if hair relaxing (very dangerous as the chemicals permeates through the pores) has a noble history because it does not. So, yes, natural advocates have a point. The billions we spend in Korean shops to make them rich can go to the future of our children. Everything starts with self-love. Peace.

My only Quibble is i noticed a very damaged hair line almost receding. But your hair looks great other wise. Just my opinion. I dont agree with people trying to tell u to go natural... it's your hair. I'm natural and love it but to each ... his own. Im glad they are more channels encouraging less chemicals bc it is not good period!

It isn't the Styles that cause hair loss. It is the way that they were installed or removed. If the person that do the Braids \ Weaves correctly you will
have alot of new growth Instead of hair loss. The person who do it have to make sure they dont braid little pieces of your natural hair in a braid. Especially around the Hairline. They have to have Good Hair care knowledge....
I could see one reason somebody would dislike the video becuase you are able to grow your hair when staying away from the creamy crack then you put it back on your hair again, think about it if you are able to get those results by holding off on the relaxer imagine what would happen if you just said I'm not going to use that anymore so you can have the maximum growth results. Other than that you did show some real growth and no one can deny that so that's why I decided to thumbs up :)

I don't really get why people are surprised when their hair grows after they leave it alone...it does that....that's what it's supposed to do. The only thing that stops it from growing is stress. Mental/Emotional stress or physical stress to the hair itself that comes from bothering it too much and not giving it enough moisture.

@RessiePooh I had the same problem. I then realized that I actually have two different type of hair. My hair in the back is much thicker than the rest of my hair. My grandma insist I perm it back there but nope I love my natural hair. I dont know how your hair type but I can give you some advice I followed. 1. Trim the back of your hair. 2. Vitamin E oil and olive oil is a blessing to use. 3. Also if you tend to fall asleep on your back try to avoid doing so.

Your hair is very pretty! :-) I went natural about two years ago, and I kind of miss it, just because it was easier to comb, LOL. I came across this video while doing a google search for hair care tips... All these comments that seem to bash one hair type or the other... Hair is hair, no matter what you do to it, and you can always make it look great. Love your natural hair, love your relaxed hair, the point is to just LOVE it!

i have natural hair i trim it every 6 weeks and its changed texture over the years from being really thick breaking combs to being quite naturally straight i can straighten my hair once and it will stay like that 4 days without me wrapping it etc. Im going to dye my hair and i think it would look better straight but im scared it will break my already mostly straight hair.

As I read through the comments, I'm just wondering why the natural "ladies" (a term I use loosely in some cases) even bother to watch a video that features someone with relaxed hair. Are you on a mission to coerce people to your cause? I don't get it. I rarely see a relaxed bashing anyone in the natural world. Not that it doesn't happen, I just don't see as often.

@olivers64 Relaxing your hair is one thing - relaxing it because you're ashamed of your hair texture is another. Unfortunately, most black women do it because of the latter. Let's not pretend as if hair relaxing (very dangerous as the chemicals permeates through the pores) has a noble history because it does not. So, yes, natural advocates have a point. The billions we spend in Korean shops to make them rich can go to the future of our children. Everything starts with self-love. Peace.

My only Quibble is i noticed a very damaged hair line almost receding. But your hair looks great other wise. Just my opinion. I dont agree with people trying to tell u to go natural... it's your hair. I'm natural and love it but to each ... his own. Im glad they are more channels encouraging less chemicals bc it is not good period!

I grew my hair to a healthy 14 inches and yes it was relaxed and so the fuck what!!!! then when i went out women would be staring at my hair hoping and assuming it was a weave even when it was obvious that it wasn't. @allnachural you sound so dumb. my mother has been getting relaxers all her life and is now 45 years old and she is no where near bald, her hair is long down her back just like mine. so just because your "natural" doesn't mean your better.. hating because your naps doesn't grow like my wavy tresses. :P you give natural hair girls a bad name.. because a lot of natural hair girls have gorgeous tresses, while I'm sure you have a rats nest trying to act like you have excellent hair.. good day :)

Great Video...I know this is Old but I wanted to Comment on it.
It isn't the Styles that cause hair loss. It is the way that they were installed or removed. If the person that do the Braids \ Weaves correctly you will
have alot of new growth Instead of hair loss. The person who do it have to make sure they dont braid little pieces of your natural hair in a braid. Especially around the Hairline. They have to have Good Hair care knowledge....

I could see one reason somebody would dislike the video becuase you are able to grow your hair when staying away from the creamy crack then you put it back on your hair again, think about it if you are able to get those results by holding off on the relaxer imagine what would happen if you just said I'm not going to use that anymore so you can have the maximum growth results. Other than that you did show some real growth and no one can deny that so that's why I decided to thumbs up :)

I don't really get why people are surprised when their hair grows after they leave it alone...it does that....that's what it's supposed to do. The only thing that stops it from growing is stress. Mental/Emotional stress or physical stress to the hair itself that comes from bothering it too much and not giving it enough moisture.

And even if you perm perm every twice a year nothing over that.... I stared doing this an my hair on my back i recommended it 2 my friends and there hair is staring to grow nah... I think your hair will be more healthier if you would leave that creamy crack along. That's how that they make money off of us as black women. They know that its more money in black hair. @RessiePooh I had the same problem. I then realized that I actually have two different type of hair. My hair in the back is much thicker than the rest of my hair. My grandma insist I perm it back there but nope I love my natural hair. I dont know how your hair type but I can give you some advice I followed. 1. Trim the back of your hair. 2. Vitamin E oil and olive oil is a blessing to use. 3. Also if you tend to fall asleep on your back try to avoid doing so.
