@airsoft911full lol sorry, it really doesn't matter what book you get because you can read them all and do fine on a BBb tuba, If you pick up a CC book or Eb book, you an read them both and it shouldn't matter. Also there shouldn't be books that are called BBb and others called Bb. If there really is, then you can buy either one and is doesn't matter, hope I helped you

@littledrewboo i still like both a lot lol there'sa lot more cheap/crappy/made in taiwan BBb tubas than there are CCs out there because that's what most kids in the U.S. start on. a well-made tuba in any key will sound awesome. I think professionals playing CC/F tubas is an American thing, in parts of Russia and Germany they use BBb/F tubas in their orchestras

This sounds better on Eb bass, nothing against your good playing, but I do think an Eb bass plays it better.

Its not so bad. He can play and his technique and articulation is clean. There are a few things that do attribute to why it may sound bad such as the video doesn't look to be the best quality, also the way he is positioned, he has to lean his head over and is looking way in the corner of his eye to see the stand, he needs to reposition himself straighter with the stand so he can play straight into the mouthpiece instead of having to lean to the side like that. That would really help it.

strangely enough, yes i could, and strangely enough, i did play this with our band when we went on weekends away, without the music and standing up, so unfortunately you've not got too much to say about it, plus i did play all the notes and we took things abit swifter than that too, but thanks for your comments and reading mine!!

Each to his own, did you play that well at age 16? On the tour of 14 days, 3 counties, 10 cities and 18 meetings/concerts, this was the only time this young man got to play to a packed house in Blackpool. He was not in a contest playing for a score. well, i don't know what the rest of you were listening to, but that was awful, tons of clipped notes, tons of MISSED notes, from start to finish it was a disaster

No, it wasn't a disaster. Yes, the performance had its issues, but all in all, it was not that bad. Yes, some of his notes seemed a little low pitch wise, but he overall played rather well stylistically, he did a good job with the note groupings and making music out of things. Of course any soloist's intonation could be suspect when the rest of the band played so poorly in tune with each other.

Sounds way better on a bassoon. Im sorry but the basson brings passion and vibrato into it. But ur have great technical expertise for a tuba.

I prefer front action valves.
