BPA (Bisphenol A) in the plastic is tasteless. so you only need to work about the health effects, not the taste of your food being effected. is it BPA free? heat helps bring out BPA and it is also found in more flexible plastics.

@Crumpleman If you put your sandwich directly into your toaster, all of the insides would fall all over the place and you'd have a hard time getting everything out. Plus, it wouldn't heat evenly. It'd be a mess.
