I sailed on the ship in December 2009 out of Port Canaberal and loved it. I love that class of ship because of the personall service that you get. I hope that RCCL holds onto her for a long time to come.

2:50 best part. Royal Caribbean needs to remember that these ships use to be the worlds largest cruise ships. They use to be just like freedom of the seas. They retired soverign of the seas in 2o years does that mean the same for freedom of the seas. They are BEATIFUL ships. They use to be the Mega ships

Dude, your missing a pretty major event where like 18 people injured and about 4 people died somewhere toward the end of 2005 in an explosion... I was on the ship and there were 100's of fire trucks and ambulances lined up. Believe it was in August of 2005. I was on it, I remember it happening.
I only added the events shown because of the length of the music, i didnt want to sqeeze too much in.I remember that event, seems this ship has been through the wars.
So those aren't the actually photos of the gounding? It's alright. I wonder what it would have been like to be wooken up at 1 am being told to get to your lifeboat and abandon ship. My friend told me his side of his story and it was pretty cool.
the pictures in question show of the condition of the monarch with air cushions or whatever they are trying to keep her afloat. i must admit it would be an experience to have been on board during the incident.
I'm glad she didn't sink, but yet, she wasn't to far from land so she had a great chance of living. Now the Sea Diamond, she shouldn't have sank. How many cruises have you been on?
the sea diamond was avoidable in every way monarch had far worse damage and still survived. ive been on 16 cruises over 17 years all with royal caribbean and the ship ive been on the most is monarch of the seas gladly.
Thanks for the vid. I nvere knew a fire tore through her when she was under construction. I'll never forget the Monarch. I figured that since the Sovereign left after 20 years with RC, I figured that the Monarch would maybe leave in 2011. i'll be sad when she leaves.
I was also shocked when a bartender told my family back on our cruise on her in 92, it was apparantly flammable paint as he said, and the rumours had that 3 yard workers lost their lives as a result, though press never said anything about deaths, a insider confirmed it to be true.
Sad about the workers. Where do you get all your pictures from? The pictures are awesome. When you talk about the Monarch when she struck a reef, are those pictures from when she grounded? One of my Youtube friends was on the Monarch when that happened.
Most off the net some of the older pics are of my own. The one of the fire is a picture i found on the net after years of searching after all construction photos of these ships are hard to come by. The pictures of the reef strike are from when it happened i was on monarch only 2 weeks before the collision.

@Brawl483 its a fire that occured during construction from welding sparks gutted the front third of the ship.
