The most amazing part of this all is the lack of public attention this is getting! I am a marine bio student at the University of Miami and I this had neverrrr been brought up once in any of my classes. I'm doing a project on it noww, this is really interesting.

In a closed system everything comes back :) I wonder why there is so less recycling going on when its much cheaper then extraction and dumping.

it is not cheaper to recycle.

It is more expensive to recycle most materials in terms of both material and energy.

Don't get me wrong, I want to Reduce-Reuse-Recycle. I want to save the ocean and the planet.

But the truth is, recycling costs money, and most are unwilling to pay for it.
