i know that this review have more than 2 years old but... did you know that if you pres i think "X" when using a normal attack you can do a follow up and attack again?
I bought this game a couple years ago but I'm finally getting around to play it. Even though it's a grind-fest it's a really great "old school" RPG. Also, Atlus did a great job localizing it. I can't wait for Growlanser Wayfarer of Time on the PSP this summer!
It just hit me! When he mentioned this game being like a ps2 title on the psp I got excited! B/c we're moving on to the vita. . . so that means we're going to get ps3 comparable games on a portable! system! Holy crap!! I just went pipi in my pants!

@doombybbr I think people think like that because the RPGs made in Korea, Japan and places of that are nature are different from the ones made anywhere else.

Also, PSP Go is a step in the right direction. I am impressed with massive collections of games and have seen a rather impressive one with my own eyes, I have this to say about the slowly but surely disappearing game disc/cartridge...Instead of a physical room of game cartridges, why not have a Holodeck like in Star Trek and show them your game collection.... :)
@Poonard obviously your idea is very right. main problem is of course that the psp platform had the UMD drive before, and the GO doesn't have it anymore, so can't play those anymore
and its not like, you can somehow register them and then download them for free because you own them
PSPGo failed horribly as it should.

I have bought Ys SEVEN and Kingdom Hearts, but next will be, Dead Rising 2, **Fallout New Vegas, **Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Star Wars the Force Unleashed 2 and Assassigns Creed Brotherhood. My comment was from a year ago so sorry man, I can't help you with where to get it, but I do know that the game had 2 Story Modes: One from a boy's perspective, One from a girl's perspective. @InsideAVitalSuit The analog stick broke man, I don't feel like paying to fix it. I'm playing the classics like Final Fantasy VII on it which don't need the analog stick. Besides that, I'm always playing my PS3. I hope you can find the copy man!

I'm sure on the psVita the analog sticks will be a lot better since most of the games being developed are focusing on using both sticks. ARe you planning on getting one? I was excited when Uncharted was announced for it, but that's one of the few originals. Gravity Rush and Escape Plan looked great too, but I'm not getting a whole handheld just for 3 games! I didn't see any RPG's announced for the Vita as well, which is a shame.

i've downloaded a buttload of rpgs on my iphone, chaos rings being one of them. never played any of them a lot. chaos rings was so confusing. however i've downloaded this one yesterday, and i like it because the hero is someone i can relate to. and the graphics are pretty nice. and the story isn't too confusing.
A real mixed bag. Fantastic animation, great voice acting, good characters and some great humour...but....my oh my what a grinder, and the dungeon designs are extremely boring which really makes the grinding hard on the head as you approach the conclusion. Its certainly one of the better RPGs out for the PSP but it still really dragged at the end.
How come every one says there aren't many rpgs for the psp? The whole reason I'm getting a psp in a few weeks is because of the mass amount of awesome looking rpg's I've been finding.
needs dual audio, but it's still good. Difficulty and balance sorta go wonky at times, i was ambushed in Mt. Blood-something and all 4 characters took 1 dmg. enemies becomes stronger and weaker. i sometimes play wondering if i'm going to die this time, or will i die next time. damage is crazy; barely hurts an enemy unless you have better equipment.
I think this game is great...But it's unbalanced in some way. The Reviewer didn't play this game very far and at the beginning it's easy. But later even enemies you should have overlevelled by far still do enourmous damage to your characters although you have much better equipment by the time. I love grinding my characters, but in this game it' almost too much...I'm still playing it and have fun with it-and the game looks much more beautiful on the psp screen-but well balanced:NO!
i think everyone can play this, because its not to hard and thats good at least for me. Im on 33 hours of gameplay and still got to beat a optional boss and 3 other bosses before i beat the game should get me 4 more hours.
this game sweet!!!!lots of challenges mostly on the skill tree you need first to reveal the skill b4 learning it you need to fight to earn sp so you'll never get bored

It's not Oath Of Felghana 3, it's Oath In Felghana... and it's a remake of Ys III. However, you're right. I have it on PC, including the English patch, and it's quite good. Although, all the newer Ys games are great, not just this one?
I haven't played Ys 7, but have played lots of the other ones. Trust me, there's no way Ys 7 could be bad, since the other newer ones have all been so good. If you enjoy Oath In Felghana, any Ys game really might be up your alley.

Blood-something and all 4 characters took 1 dmg. enemies becomes stronger and weaker. i sometimes play wondering if i'm going to die this time, or will i die next time. damage is crazy; barely hurts an enemy unless you have better equipment.

I think this game is great...But it's unbalanced in some way. The Reviewer didn't play this game very far and at the beginning it's easy. But later even enemies you should have overlevelled by far still do enourmous damage to your characters although you have much better equipment by the time. I love grinding my characters, but in this game it' almost too much...I'm still playing it and have fun with it-and the game looks much more beautiful on the psp screen-but well balanced:NO!

Avoid Astonishia Story for the PSP at all costs, Crimson Gem Saga is waaaaaaaaaaay better than that crap of a game.
Crimson Gem Saga or Astonishia Story 2 in some countries, is a good RPG for the PSP.

i think everyone can play this, because its not to hard and thats good at least for me. Im on 33 hours of gameplay and still got to beat a optional boss and 3 other bosses before i beat the game should get me 4 more hours.

It's not Oath Of Felghana 3, it's Oath In Felghana... and it's a remake of Ys III. However, you're right. I have it on PC, including the English patch, and it's quite good. Although, all the newer Ys games are great, not just this one?

I haven't played Ys 7, but have played lots of the other ones. Trust me, there's no way Ys 7 could be bad, since the other newer ones have all been so good. If you enjoy Oath In Felghana, any Ys game really might be up your alley.

This is a fantastic game... I love this game and seriously underrated! Thank you classic game room for this and class of heroes reviews! This game rocks.
