  • We use this soup a couple of times a month. We add corn, then finish with some cheese , sour cream and tomato as garnish. Our whole family loves this soup. We get the #10 cans, which is real nice for long term since its 33 servings. We use it one can a month.

  • thks Noreen! I had wanted to add this to my pantry and now will... its much less expensive buying it thru sams club online emergency foods than from augasons Farms but i think they only carry the large cans .

  • Sorry I can't reply the right way. Lol I'm on my phone atm! Yes! We love that show! Haha One of the best shows on tv atm. I also love vampire diaries.

  • @lunarain19 Rick and I just finished catching up! We watched the entire first season on Saturday and Sunday and have been watching the first part of season 2 on our cable's on demand the last couple of nights. I am totally addicted. If anyone had ever told me that I would cry while watching a "zombie" show i would not have believed them. But it really isn't about the walkers is it? I know its based on a comic, but what a hell of an SHTF scenario right?! Noreen : )

  • Bear Creek Broccoli/Cheese is delicious, and so easy to make! I add chopped, steamed (in micro) broccoli to it. I've been eyeing AF products at Sam's Club. I may need to invest in some items. Great review - thanks!

  • What store did u by the augason farms brands of soups,I've never since that brand. I can't wait till next week for the bear creek soup,I've always wanted to try them.

  • @junklovers I order directly from their website, I don't think that they sell AF in regular stores. I do know that in certain parts of the country they do have it available at some Sam's clubs and Costco, but not where I live. they have a nice variety of food storage items at good prices and their shipping is reasonable.

  • Zombie apocalypse!! Bahahahahaa! My husband always jokes about that! That soup looks really yummy.

  • @lunarain19 If you are a Walking Dead fan, a zombie apocalypse is no laughing matter. : )

  • Thanks Noreen! I sure wish Augason Farms would ship to Canada.:(

  • Awesome!

  • Thanks Noreen - I agree with the comments about katzcradul's tortillas. I used her recipe last week but modified it somewhat with 255sage's (added some masa and used butter flavored Crisco). So easy and delicious! You are a joy and an inspiration to me - thanks for your time to teach us all! :)

  • "Its not just for a zombie apocalypse..." the best line. :)

  • Is that a Valentines board?

  • You guys do a great job as always. Thanks for the review

  • Glad you showed the whole process of making the soup. It's a no brainer. Boil water...throw it in. Love that so many of the foods we've stored for 'whenever' are so convenient, delicious, and bless our lives right now! You and I are both so busy with working full time, children at home, gardening, prepping, Youtube. Often, it's a real effort to get a good meal on the table. This kind of product is a real help. Neither of us mentioned that the soup mix has a ten year shelf life. Woohoo!

  • @katzcradul I forgot to mention that you can make the tortilla recipe without any leavening at all! You can leave the baking powder out completely. It makes a more transparant tortilla not quite what most folks are use to seeing but I actually like it just as well, if not better. In the video, I made them the traditional way. Just wanted you to know that you can do it either way. One of my viewers puts a tablespoon of powdered milk in hers. She says it makes them really soft and pliable.

  • I wish there was a "Love it" button for your channel! I am learning so much from your videos. Thank you.

  • wow, you are getting ads now, I knew your channel would do well. Could you do a vegan meal?

  • @mompm Thanks for the comment and for the request. I am often asked about creating vegan meals. However, while I respect all the vegans out there for their lifestyle choices, I am not a vegan. My family sometimes enjoys a meatless meal, but I have no experience with vegan cooking. There are lots of youtube chefs out there who have great vegan dishes. I would be remiss to attempt a vegan meal without the proper education. Thanks again for your comment. I hope I didn't disappoint too much.

  • We have that in our food storage! I'm glad you reviewed it. I've been wondering how some of that stuff turns out lol Thanks!

  • @Monicasdestiny Break it out and give it a try. Super easy and really, really good! I am happy to review these things. I know that there are a lot of us who have purchased these items on faith that they are good. I don't want to wait until the last minute to find out how good they are. What if we have cases of this stuff and it turns out it is disgusting? Like the butter powder I tried the other day. Thank goodness I only bought two cans! It was disgusting! Blech! Ptooey, Ptooey! Noreen

  • @atticus9799 Don't discount that butter powder. It's great to bake with. You're going to have to get to canning some REAL butter for your table! lol Always so much to do.

  • @atticus9799 Oh...I SO agree...butter powder is simply vial! I'm so glad I tried it before stocking up.

  • @1930sgirl I understand that it is good for baking, but using it as a butter spread is absolutely disgusting!

  • Sorry just me again did you use the whole can for that recipe? :)

  • @255sage Yes, I used the entire can. It is the everyday size and it makes about 8 cups of soup if it is made as directed. This was very thick and I could see where Katzcradul would add extra water. I'm thinking that if you were to add 2 extra cups of water at the beginning of the process, you would be able to serve about 10 or 12 people as long as you served something like quesadillas or sandwiches on the side. Thanks for the comments! Noreen : )

  • lol love how you ignore the phone.

  • I was just getting ready to PM you and see if you are ok. I guess I'm addicted to your videos.LOL

    Linda:)
