  • No I think Sting is light and his son is the strong beer kinda speaking.. His dad plays kinda Jazzy sound, which I like and consider as light or smoth. Joe iplays alternative rock or alternative one... Art and money is hard to mix.. Just do your thing... 5M copies? Is it about moiney or about music anyway..

  • Saw them in Montpellier, South of France just a few weeks ago...great gig, and they'll probably never tour Australia...so was quite a privileged. Great Stage energy.

  • Yeah he reminds me of Sting

  • Great interview, nice bloke, lovely music, and I REALLY want to see them live now, so he's a good advertiser too! :'D

  • meet him at the Sydney concert for the police and then and watched him the next night ata small club, they are shit hot live. Their music is hotter than the police's,much harder rocks, and great live gig.

  • Man he looks just like his Papa and his sister Kate is the image of their Mum.

  • the guy's a real character. excellent showman, while being very modest. my band opened for him the other night in atlanta, and even in a tiny club he put all his energy into it and played an amazing show.

  • his accent is stronger than sting's

  • @robertk2007 But he doesn't have an accent? Stings is Geordie.

  • I can see he is a great guy. No ego whatsoever. Yes, his father's shade is going to hang over him for long time, but he has to live with that. And nothing wrong with it. But I have a feeling he is a better human being than his dad.

  • i wonder where he got the idea to sing and play bass?

  • He initially played guitar in the band but the bass player left less than 2 years ago. He is incredibly talented. Many other frontmen sing and play bass at the same time. (Like Paul McCartney, Geddy Lee, jack Bruce, Sheryl Crowe, Aimee Mann. Singing Lead and Playing Bass is arguably the most difficult thing to do in rock. It requires amazing rhythm, time independence, melody and all the showmanship of the front man. Joe not only holds his own but is raising the bar.

  • Had the pleasure of meeting Joe and the rest of the band in Amsterdam at an instore record signing and they are all lovely. Joe was great with the crowd and gave everyone who spent some time with him his full attention and was able to chat with everyone and make them all feel important. He's a nice guy. And he rocks as well!

  • saw the show in twickenham sept 9th 07 excellent, had pick and video meeting joe, such nice guys, very polite..x

  • His father is Sting from the Police.

  • he probably has ways to answer that stuff, but they should ask him. that would make for a lazy interview, because we know all about that other guy anyway. this guy is new.

  • good interview

  • Yeah, his reference to Joe's father (who ever he is) was brief & tactful.

  • Joe's father is ... only ...Sting

    ;-)

  • this interview was awesome.

it would be cool to have a conversation with Joe. He is so fantastic!!! =]

  • Great Interview!
