  • Thank you so very much. I just took mine out of the box and it sounded horrid. Now that I went through your tutorial once, it sounds so much nicer to the ear. I can't wait to start learning the Ukulele. THANK YOU, Dear Lady!

  • ♪ My dog has fleas ♫

  • Thank you!

  • @Zachvaughan101 Taa. Did it get you playing?

  • @chachasammusic Yeah, but what does that really mean? It's never helped me to tune. I think I must be missing where it came from to know what it means.

  • @chachasammusic Yes it did :)

  • Just bought one in Ho Chi Minh and now Yes! The little bugger is finally in tune. Thanks Cha Cha Sam.

  • @jaiwhitehead Good one!

  • good cocks eat ants?

  • @mayonaisespaceboy Cooks baby cooks

  • could i use normal guitar method ? and what kind of string is that ?

sorry if my english is bad

  • @Th1r1 Hi. Your English is very good! No you can't use a guitar method. The tuning of the Soprano ukulele is different. A guitar is EADGBE. The Soprano C-tuned ukulele is GCEA.

Is that enough info for you?

  • @chachasammusic okay, that's enlighten me hehe, thank you for the info

  • Great vid thanks.Cute too.

  • THIS! is the only tuning video that has actually helped me!! thanks so much!

  • @somethingfunny18 Thanks for your comment in my uke tuning video. Has it helped your playing? Are you keeping on keeping on with your playing and tuning?

  • Cheers Chacha, very helpful.

  • @brightstar815 Thanks for your comment on my uke tuning video. Are you playing? Or just a uke admirer?

  • I have a little problem with A string, it's going out of tune so quick. (Im using 2 different applications for tuning via mic). I turned that little something quiet a lot of times so far, and every time i play, it drops on scale in those programs. And i tightened the screw behind. G is fine even 30 min later, C and E drops a little but A way too much (37Hz too low) :/. Should i crank it up again? Does it matter what type of string im using? Thanks..

  • @Walafras Yeah A is notorious for moving. My suggestion is to 1. Check the way the string is wound. Is the string wound OVER itself in a tidy fashion so it is holding and not slipping on the metal? If not, slack it off and replicate the way the others are wound. 2. Tune it up then place your thumb on A near the sound hole and 'bend it down' to speed up stretching of the string and then re-tune. Do a couple of times each time you get uke out so eventually the stretch in the string disappears. ;)

  • A-d am (and) E- ve C- ares (for) G- od

  • @Benodryl whatever floats ya boat!

  • i have that ukulele lol

  • @NiamhandClara123 is it fun?

  • Thanks! Now i can play. :D

  • @nolink42 goodo! What's your favourite tune?

  • I cant do it by ear. Even so, the video helps.

  • this was so much help thank you:)

  • @KnzyLinZ Great! Get out there and play!

  • I can't get it to work! D:

  • @TinyPocketFairy Hello! What doesn't work; the video or the tuning?

  • @chachasammusic the tuning! I can't get my ukulele to sound right:(

  • @TinyPocketFairy Do you have a tuner? Or are you doing it by ear?

  • @chachasammusic i am tuning by ear, but i have a guitar tuner, if that would work.

  • @Tukann but ur good at playin the ukulele

  • how much was that ukulele and what kind -eg concert/tenor.......etc

  • @pirateparrotgirl The ukie I am using is a $25 one. I suggest that if you really want a nice one they start around $60

  • Your video is the most comprehensive one. :) thanks for putting this up!

  • @cherrynutscgs How's your uke tuning going?

  • Good cooks eat ants! ;) thanks :P

  • please heelp, i just can't tune my uke, it sounds just like a guitar :/ it doesn't have that uke sound

  • thank you! you helped so much<3

  • I watched about 8 stupid tuning vids before I found this one! Thanks - yours was the most helpful... haha - GCEA!!!

  • oh my gosh that was so helpful, thankyou so much. My uke doesn't sound like a car crash now - all the other vids seemed to be speaking an alien language!!!

  • thaaaaaaaaanks!:)

  • acid :) tasty

  • this helped so much, thanks :D

  • Jus wondering... im starting to play a ukulele bt wen i play it on my guitar it sounds normal bt wen i play it on ukulele it goes higher like a lot.. i mean D to G... so...is there smt wrong wif my ukulele? its tuned...

  • @Scallop10v3

Sorry for being so slow in replying.

Have you got the tuning sorted?

Jus checkin...The strings from closest to you when you play should be GCEA.

The chord shapes are different, right? A G chord on the ukulele is a guitar D shape.

Let me know what your prob is an see if we can fix it.

  • @chachasammusic sorry for the late reply.. didnt have time.. I just found out that it's kinda diff from guitar... btw is E string thicker than C string? Thanks for the help :)
