Random question...but how can a bird get its neck cut off and still have it "miss" the throat? I'm pretty sure on my anatomy... and the throat is inside the neck... so if the neck is cut off so is the throat. I'm quoting the slide's statement "Birds often have there (should be 'their') necks, stomach or even heads cut off missing the throat completely."
Thios video didn't mention the fact that before they are slaughter, they are electrically stunned to knock them unconcious, so preventing them from feeling any pain. Also, if the automated killing blade misses their neck, a licensed slaughterman who is monitoring the process makes a cut with a knife to allow the blood to drain from an artery. Typical onesided view.

Pigs are smart, but they use giant electrodes on swine so they feel nothing. And really, if you're into being one with the animals, watch a pack of wolves kill a moose. Random question...but how can a bird get its neck cut off and still have it "miss" the throat? I'm pretty sure on my anatomy... and the throat is inside the neck... so if the neck is cut off so is the throat. Thios video didn't mention the fact that before they are slaughter, they are electrically stunned to knock them unconcious, so preventing them from feeling any pain. Also, if the automated killing blade misses their neck, a licensed slaughterman who is monitoring the process makes a cut with a knife to allow the blood to drain from an artery. Typical onesided view.
By the way, how many people here who say that it is wrong to slaughter animals for food, eat meat? Most of them I think.

Granted, I am sure there are some horrid places that need to be better controlled but I think those are not the rule, more the exception.

They put them in pens and they CUT OFF THEIR BEAKS (which would feel like someone ripping off your nail) so they wouldn't bite each other. But if they cut off the beak, they can't eat and they die quicker. People got caught throwing the stepping on them! IT'S DISGUSTING.

@funnydollar well not in this video. as u can see at the end the bird throat is cut with beak on.....most slaughter facilities are clean places. and yes there not going to respect them like give them there last words or last phone call, most markets demand meat deliveries at certain times so its a fast process. but i don't like the certain places that abuse the animals before there dead. but i certainly am a carnivore. man didn't work its way up the food chain to eat GRASS!w

This has forced us to have to mass produce food because our numbers have grown so dramatically over the years. It won't be long before we have to live in 30x30 houses that cost 250k just like Japan.
