and btw for those who think that we will develop new techs like nano. @troglodyte3344 Go back to what economist were saying in the 80's and find me one that was talking about how the internet would completely re-shape commerce in 20 years. Internet trends were available, and certain technologist and futurist did see what was coming. I just haven't seen the same kind of forecasting from economist.

@pgdevil Yes but the forecasting of a boom which follows a bust is a moot point. When you hit rock bottom the only way is up. Nobody thinks that if there is another financial collapse that it will be the 'end of the world.' The question is 'will there be another financial collapse?'

The answer is YES and very soon.

@troglodyte3344 There was the dot-com crash in 2000, but if the economist would of caught on sooner, they probably wouldn't have made such a big deal out of it five years before 2000 when they finally caught on. This exemplifies how short-sided they are, they pretty much single handily caused the huge financial build up and subsequent crash in about five years. But it didn't kill the internet obviously, it has gone on to change the world beyond belief and make people fortunes.
