@dgaleno2012 Your battery could be low on voltage(needs replacement), your alternator isn't putting out enough power once you rev it(headlight will turn off when you rev it in neutral ) or you didn't properly install the wires
Most likely thing would be that you didn't ground the ballasts properly, take the connections to the car body off then grind the paint off till you see shiny metal and reconnect the wire. You may want to put electric grease on all exposed wires to protect from corrosion.
@H20MarkVIII they were on the car already i have like a month with him. i didnt move the wires i just saw that one didnt turn on on a raining day when i got close to a car and only saw one light. i checked later on moved the little motor and each side i manage to turn it on now that one stays on but the other one has the problem that turns off when ever i accelerate
Is there a noticeable difference in the low/high beam conversion kit. Rather than just the low beam kit? I could see the "flicker" when you turned on the high beams. But not much of a difference in the lumens. Maybe its just the lighting in the video. Also will this kit fit an 02 ep3 hatchback?

@Galindo2012 In order to install the BI-Xenon system you must connect the harness to the positive terminal of the battery for power. If you chose to install a single beam low beam only system, you can bypass this requirement and pull power directly from the headlight connectors. If you have additional questions, please email us at Help(at)XenonSupply(dot)com.

@jeremyspace Yes, So long as the connectors are correct you can use a different ballast with XenonSupply bi-xenon bulbs. This will also require a harness for the BI-Xenon System. You can contact us at 612.293.8766 or email us at help(at)xenonsupply(dot)com and we will be able to direct you to the correct bulbs.
@b009l an h4 bulb bi xenon if u want hi and low xenon if u just wont lows which theres no need to buy bi xenons cause the xenons are bright enough u dont need high i have xenons on my 92 hatch and there very bright

is the bixenon switching in the bulb itself? High end cars with projectors have an electronic shade that blocks the beam. Is that functionality contained in the bulb instead?
@cam94z28 The Bi-Xenon is a single bulb with a magnetic solenoid attached to the base of the bulb which moves it forward and backwards. This lateral movement changes the angle at which the light reflects in the hosing creating a narrow beam(low beam) and a wide beam (high beam) when triggered by the high beam switch.
Projector Len's that are bi-xenon use a gate in the lens itself not tied to the bulb which flips up and down to allow more light to pass through the lens when in high beam mode.

@jpatten94 Yes, this works the same for non hatchbacks. It also actually works i believe up to the 2004 when they switched over to the new body style and new lights.
@jchatchsi Kits are available on XenonSupply (dot) com. just use the search by vehicle link, or the search by bulb type link H4. Make sure you select the Bi-Xenon Kit.
hi, is it possible to insert the power cable to the ballast the wrong way, as in is there a specific way the connector should be facing on either ballast or can they be inserted in any way?
@101ROLLA The power cable to the ballast has a clip that the connector snaps into. There sohuld only be one that the connector will snap in. You will not harm the device if plugged in incorrectly, the HID's just wont power on.
@09204418448 The XenonSupply ballast are all rated for 12-18 volts max and are compatible with all vehicles that use 12v power, including cars, motorcycles atv's etc.
Question: To install a H4 (hi/low) bulb into a headlight that has a metal or chrome cover (for not blinding the other cars) is it possible?? Or should I first remove this cover (from the headlight)?? Or it doesn't matter?? Thanks...
@terisflo The Chrome cover, canyou clarify, is that part of the bulb or part of the actual headlight housing/ A XenonSupply bulb has a blind guard on the H4 bulbs to prevent excessive blinding and fits in with the bulb when installing. If you have additional questions, just email us at Help(at)XenonSupply(dot)com
@thechosun I meant the part of the headlight that's it's inside the mirror! but it's ok, I've just put the new HID kit H4 (bi-xenon) with no problems, and the bulb fits perfect.... thanks for your time!
Hey what if my ride has like plastic hard covers on the headlight that the rubber cover like this honda, how would you work around that? Like obviously you wouldn't leave the covers out right? And if we do the wiring the covers won't fit.. any help/suggestion plz?
@rags17 You will need to drill a hole through the dust cover (1in in diameter) and if its a XenonSupply kit use the grommet to create a sealed connection. The Lexus is-250 video shows an example of this type of installation.
@XenonSupply Thanx for the prompt reply... mines a 08 porsche so don't want to screw up doing it and with the covers on it looked complicated and kinda figured I might have to drill a hole but just wanted to check with you first. And would you recommend me unplugging the battery?
@psyfertech It is best to run your negative lead to the chassis and not the negative terminal. All of your vehicles ground connections run through the chassis first and helps to stabilize current flow before going back to the battery.
thats odd, ive always ran my grounds straight to the battery as much as posible i mean sure i still run the ones to the chassis when i have to but it just seems like the negative on the battery is best but i dunno i cant wait to get my hid setup
@psyfertech Industry best practice is to run all ground wires through the chassis, then combine them back together before it gots to the negative terminal. You will notice that your grounds from your engine and alternator do exactly that.
i have my sheild on mine faceing down but i think it makes the glare go right into the oncoming traffics eyes you would think it would make more sence to have the sheild on top. or would that make it even worse. would it be bad to break the sheild off a H4 single beam buld? what would that do?
@05forshow The shield must be on the bottom facing up or else you will reflect more light into oncoming traffic. If the shield is removed, light will hit the bottom of the cup and reflect up at a higer angle.
@rapyoke The bulb shield should be on the bottom facing up and prevents excessive glare. the Bulb can only be inserted one way so you should be good to go.
I have a 2001 Civic. My question to you is,I have an after market Projector Halo Lights...Would that HID Bulb fit in it?? Please respond, ive been dying to find out before I purchase it. Thanks
@crazyportorock07 No, this specific bulb type will not fit your aftermarket headlights. You will most likely need an H1 or H3 style HID conversion kit. Please inspect the bulbs on your aftermarketing projector headlights and you will know the type of kit you need. Contact us at Help(at)XenonSupply(dot)com for more details.
I have a chrysler cirrus 2000 and i bought a bi xenon hid kit 6000k, but I cannot find difference between low beam and high beam, they illuminate almost similar. you say that the longer cable has to go to driver side and the shorter cable to the passenger side, but I did differently because my car has the battery in the driver side, Do I need to put the shorter cable to the passenger side and the longer cable to the driver side cable for the hids illuminate more or it does not matter?
@alejandro17448 It should not matter which side has the long cable and which side has the short set of cables.when you say you cannot find the difference, please be more specific. is the light angle not changing? As this is not a question directly related to the Honda Civic installation, please email us at Help(at)XenonSupply(dot)com with your questions.
My original retainer ring or O-ring doesn't fit anymore once I installed the hid kit to keep my bulb tight. The bulb really isn't secure, it keeps popping out of the headlight. What should I do?
Is the low and high beam both HID? I bought a bi-xenon kit 4 months ago from you guys and didn't have the connections to the battery terminal. Is this a new version to the one I bought a few months ago? thanks
@tsimnuj07 Did you purchase a single beam HID kit, or Bi-Xenon Kit? Only the Bi-Xenon requires the use of a harness that connects to your terminals. There are also H4-2 kits that use halogen high beams, is this the type of kit you have. The kit shown in this video is an H4-3 style and uses a solenoid to change the light angle. there is a single HID inside the headlight housing, but it moves to create a low beam and high beam. email us if you have additional questions!
@XenonSupply I purchase the bi-xenon kit. didn't realize that is was a halogen high beam. Can i still upgrade the bulb to a bi-xenon with both HID low and high beam? Thanks.
@XenonSupply I have the H4-2 kit. I have checked the website and there is no H4-3 style under the car choices. I would like to get a set if I can still use the same ballasts. Thanks
@xavked a Bi-Xenon H4 bulb uses a solenoid to push and pull the bulb forward and back which changes the light angle. when pulled in, it lowers the beam and cutoff for regular low beam. when pushed out, it increased the light angle and spreads over a larger area for high beam.
@hcdx92 No you do not have to follow the ballast mounting locations exactly. These are recommended locations and HID performance will not be affected if placed elsewhere. remember to keep away from your higher heat engine components!
im planning on getting HIDs. what brand do you suggest for a '96 toyota avalon xls? How much do you think theyd run me and how difficult do u think the installation would be by myself? Thanks! great vid
@Drfilapino13 your avalon uses a 9006 style bulb and is available on Xenonsupply(dot)com The Toyota vehicles have worked very well with our standard kits and should take less than an hour to install. Use the Toyota Camry video as a guide when you do your install as it is a very similar process. contact us at Help(at)Xenonsupply(dot)com for more info!

Thanks

I am planning on getting some, H4 means it's one bulb but with different intensities?

@xavked a Bi-Xenon H4 bulb uses a solenoid to push and pull the bulb forward and back which changes the light angle. when pulled in, it lowers the beam and cutoff for regular low beam. when pushed out, it increased the light angle and spreads over a larger area for high beam.

i mean which them is driver side and passenger side is it necessary to put them in designated area?

@hcdx92 No you do not have to follow the ballast mounting locations exactly. These are recommended locations and HID performance will not be affected if placed elsewhere. remember to keep away from your higher heat engine components!

im planning on getting HIDs. what brand do you suggest for a '96 toyota avalon xls? How much do you think theyd run me and how difficult do u think the installation would be by myself? Thanks! great vid
Drfilapino13 1 year ago
@Drfilapino13 your avalon uses a 9006 style bulb and is available on Xenonsupply(dot)com The Toyota vehicles have worked very well with our standard kits and should take less than an hour to install. Use the Toyota Camry video as a guide when you do your install as it is a very similar process. contact us at Help(at)Xenonsupply(dot)com for more info!
