Surely a "true gamer" would endeavour to play as many games on as many platforms as they possibly could and not simply disregard a good console. I have a PS3 and a Wii and I like them both but it doesn't mean I think the 360 is worth any less to the people who own one.

Ok not really but true gamers dont play wii, mostly only like grannies, mothers, non gamers and young children who play the wii...my half brother (18 years old) for example told me he knows many people who had a wii but got tired of it in less then ½ a year.....wii does suck,,what I have seen most games are like children games, training or cooking....the few fps and rpg wii does have are nothing compared to whats on xbox 360 and ps3

Play Twilight princess, the Conduit, the Grinder, Far Cry - Vengeance, super smash brothers, and the tonnes of high grossing games on the virtual console before you call the entire system as being made for young children. If you were a 'true' gamer you wouldn't limit yourself to one system just because you can make the generalization that it's made for kids.

lol why pay on the wii to play older system games when I can play them all for free on sega dreamcast, the wii is a failure face it..all wii has really is more mario, metroid, sonic and zelda games...hardly anything new

Yes, the wii has all wii has mario, metroid, and zelda games. This is because those are successful franchises, meaning there's an actual demand for a sequel. Similarly, the best selling titles on the Ps3 include Gran Turismo 5, Metal Gear Solid 4, Grand Theft Auto 4, Resident Evil 5; all games that had releases on previous consoles. So by your logic, the Ps3 has hardly anything new.
