When diamond futures were traded in the late 70's, the true value was discovered in a free marketplace. Wedding ring grade was selling wholesale for the same as investment grade on the exchange, the latter being much higher grade. Go with the cubic zirconium; at least that won't burn up in a fire.
The Diamond Empire by PBS Frontline is one of my favorite programs. Every teenager should watch this. If anyone wants more information, read "Have You Ever Tried to Sell a Diamond?" By Edward Jay Epstein.
Diamonds are valuable, but since the free market doesn't exist with diamonds, and with this info in the video, it should be obvious that diamonds are overvalued. This is why competition and free markets are needed. Get government away from corporations because the two collude to keep out newcomer competitors that will improve quality and lower the price (supply vs demand) and also keeps worker's wages low. More options for employees equals higher wages for the better employees.
@votumseparatum1 ill give it ago when my macbooks fixed, its just very bad quality for youtube and Ive only got a hdtv plugged into an old pc, so think looks really way more shitty than you think on my tv....

the industries rely on people feeling they need these items to show true love to partner, its become part of culture (sadly)
