12GB? Yeah right. MacBook Pros can only go up to 8GB. If you mean "Mac Pro" (the tower), I'd believe it.

I have a 17" MBP with 4GB. I'd love to update to 8GB, but it'll cost me about $800. I have an iPad to buy before I can fork out for the new memory. =)

@wierasa They weren't bad for 2006, and very good when you compared them to the PowerPC G4. But by late 2006, I believe the Core 2 Duo was already in the works.
