I don't think you're supposed to shove veggies in there so fast and hard the motor stops man LOL. Juice slower and you'll yield more juice.

We have been using this juicer for about 6 months and it has had a very positive influence in our health and energy. I do recommend that you juice organic so to avoid toxins that are not easily washed away. Normally I don't worry about this but now that I drink 3 so much vegi's and fruit it could become a problem even if trace amounts remain after washing.

I just bought a Breville Ikon the other day and I am going to officially start my juicing regime in the morning.

In Canada Future Shop Carries this exact model at a great price. Ironic that you can find this at a technology store but they have an extensive appliances section with a great selection of Breville products even the one model that's on level higher than this one which I would recommend (if you have the cash) but if your juicing for whole family every day it's built really tough and is extremely powerful (commercial grade). If mine broke I'd buy that one next. Cheers.

I have just purchased this amazing juicer and the only crit I have is it's a bit awkward to fit the pulp container on, but I'll get better with practice.

It's nowhere near as noisy as I thought it would be. It produces wonderful juices SO quickly. It's easy to clean up - just don't get your fingers in the juicer basket! It's VERY sharp!

I love the design and safety features, and along with the multi speed selector this is really a great juicer. I am not affiliated with Breville either!

@ chandin69, Produces a huge amount of pulp almost filling the container. I chuck the pulp. You definately dont want to eat it. Almost all the nutrients and moisture have been removed so your just left with a really dry fibrouse material. Cheers.

I could not give you an exact temperature but Breville is quite specific that this juicer won't work for wheat grass. Wheat grass is extremely sensitive. If you are new to wheat grass juicing i recommend a trial with a manual one that retails around 30 dollars. BTW this juicer won't warm your juice.

Why cant you use wheat grass in the machine?

@N152N Wheat grass cant be heated up and must go through a juicer that spins slowly. The two that I have literally squeeze the grass to get the juice out under extreme pressure. That works best. Ensure your juicer specifies wheat grass on it before purchasing as many don't have that function.

@shilohbell No, this will only juice. It removes the fiber from fruits and veggies and and leaves only the nutritious juice. Cheers :) I sound like a salesperson for this product but juicing is great regardless of the product just get those nutrients!

@ Beepinsqueekin, I was for a while but I found I could just dump and rinse. The time differential was so minimal that I'd chalk it up to preference. I have friends that prefer the bag as well.

If you put a grocery bag in the pulp bin, you do not have to clean that when youre done.

@ Red, Play around with the parts there's not too many pieces and they all fit into place nicely. If it's a gift please take this advice. CLEAN the mesh part directly after juicing and do it really well. This unit will damage easily if you leave food in the mesh part. When you buy it new there's plenty of warning stickers regarding that. Happy juicing :)
