  • The song at the beginning is dirt track by deakin' scott

  • I have a GT3 MKI and all I can say....ITS BRILLIANT

  • It isn't Prise You - Fatboy Slim... I seeking for but I can't find it...

  • What is the song from 0:09 to 0:20 I know its a song from when I was little maybe with Basement Jaxx.

  • @HighDefStarcraft Fatboy Slim Praise You

  • i went for a ride in a GT3 today for christmas. It was amazing..

  • look up bmw e30 v10 vs gt3 on m5board.com. Thats GOOD stuff! Well, not if you're a Porsche fan.

  • Song @ :23?

  • Wow, I didn't know TopGear did a full test on the Volkswagen Beetle. Then again, this episode looks pretty old, maybe around from 1942?

  • It's safe to bet that 99% of Ferrari owners are pompous elitist cocks who get their biggest hard on during their morning commute to Starbucks. GT3 owners are undoubtedly much more passionate auto enthusiasts who enjoy the organic driver-oriented experience the GT3 has - something few contemporary cars have these days, sadly put. Mr. 430Cock wouldn't make it into third before crashing if put in a GT3. Such a high level of skill is needed to operate a GT3 and the devil that's inside it. I <3 GT3

  • Name of song at the start

  • The GT3 is the bomb. The more you drive it, the more you love it.

  • Thay should just raise the back to push more weight to the front wheelies and still have good gripp on the back wheelies

  • 240p, we meet again!

  • @Bkikkert14 we meet again, we meet again!

  • Or is it a waste..? ;)

  • When I have cash to waste, I'm buying a Porsche.

  • titaniom??? titanium!!!!

  • is that the 996 gt3?

  • @bassplayer2011ify Are you daft? Watch the video for the answer!

  • PLEASE... what is the name of the song at the beginning?? Thank you!

  • the porsche is the best car and it is better than the internet(=

  • i know Porsche is trying to save weight but the interior has the same features as my 1994 dakota ,no AC no carpet no leather seats.

  • @TheBaseballkid007 A true performance car doesn't need those things. Porsche knows this and like Hammond said "it's the whole point of the car"

  • What is the name of the song at the beginning?

  • i have a 1:18 model of that thing, and now i wonder why they even bothered leaving airvents inside

  • @LawrenceLugar1 If you are beeing really serious when you say that then you dont know much about chassis rigidity, a coupé would be faster in anyway, in slow corners the coupe chassis would tolerate more torsion then a cabrio. In top speed the aerodynamics helps coupe.

  • Great, now i have to find LawrenceLugar1's comment. Yay.

  • Thumbs down for Ryan dunn. Coudnt handle the GT3

  • @StuntmanMike88

your an idiot lol, convertible is for gays and nerds..

  • @LawrenceLugar1 ya reporters stage the news faggot shut up u dont no wat happened

  • @LawrenceLugar1 At least he died in a badass car

  • haha ryan got creamed by the unforgiving gt3 priceless.

  • @LawrenceLugar1 Sut the fuck up Ryan Dunn does not drink. And even if he was he couldnt of have been drunk. He was doing something you watch on this show having a good time in a good car. Unfortunately he crashed not because he was dwi but because he simply made a human mistake. Go shove your face in a volcano asshole

  • @SmokeWeedEveryDay629 Sounds like you were wrong...

  • @SmokeWeedEveryDay629 I do agree with you, that he was not drunk, and i also dont like LawrenceLugar1's comment. I respect Ryan Dunn and what he did and he will be missed, however there is a slight difference to what people do on top gear and what dunn did. Ryan dunn drove fast and made a mistake yes it happens, but he shouldnt have been pushing it on a public road.

  • @pingpongyul what are you talking about he wasnt drunk? he was tweeting pictures of himself drinking the same night he passed, idk if thats what caused him to crash but he was most definitely drinking and driving

  • @geterhero Drinking , and having alcohol in your system doesnt mean one is drunk. Some people such as himself have very high alcohol tolerence meaning they can drink and still be ok ( sober ), ryan dunn was famous for this.

  • @pingpongyul having the slightest trace of alcohol can change alot when your doing (allegedly) 120mph on winding roads with distractions (i heard he was with a friends, idk he might have been talking to him and just lost control) but theres more evidence that he was drunk (or buzzed) than evidence that he was sober

  • @LawrenceLugar1 a gt3 cabriolet? this is a race car, not a faggoty weekend warrior ride

  • Comment removed

  • RIP Porsche and Ryan Dunn.

  • dirt track by deakin scott

  • What's the song at the start?

  • J lo's enormous buttox

  • @LawrenceLugar1 turning the car into a convertible would mean adding strengthening beams and that would add a lot of weight. which defeats the purpose of many of the weight saving things in the car. If you actually have the money which im sure you dont just buy a 911 turbo cabrio. And no they wont make one because you and 98 people want one because you and 98 people want one but arent actually gonna buy one.

  • Just one problem with that idea.... Koeniggsegg has made a convertible that weighs LESS than the coupe. I know they're the exception, but it is possible.

  • Just one problem with that idea.... Koeniggsegg has made a convertible that weighs LESS than the coupe. I know they're the exception, but it is possible.

  • @LawrenceLugar1 the gt3 is basically a production race car. they dont make convertible race cars

  • Perhaps, not... have you ever heard of the Bugatti Veyron? There's a convertible version of that car. I know it costs a hideous amount of money more, but that car is sick and is capable of racing, and racing well.

  • Perhaps, not... have you ever heard of the Bugatti Veyron? There's a convertible version of that car. I know it costs a hideous amount of money more, but that car is sick and is capable of racing, and racing well.

  • @LawrenceLugar1 This is a race car for car enthusiasts, if you want to be a yuppie go drive a Boxster -which is a Porsche with a pair of panties- and leave our manly sports cars ALONE! Convertibles are for girls and pansies - YOU LOSE!

  • Whats the name of the first song?

  • Yes Yes, Cabby.. It would loose so much stability though..

  • Somewhere behind this washing machine

  • @LawrenceLugar1 There are limits. They're called the laws of physics. If you don't understand that a GT3 Cabriolet isn't a plausible design, then I understand why you would want one. Do you know how much extra weight is added on a Cabriolet? GT is supposed to be a light race car. There's a reason there's no airconditioning or an automatic gear box in these kind of cars. It's to save weight. Making it a cabriolet would defeat that entire purpose. GT3 customers don't want weight.

  • @daves1412 thanks that does help because I'm looking to buy a sports car probably a mustang or corvette but Porsche is something that i always like so i was curious. Do you know if doing performance work to it is really expensive because I always get bios thoughts on that?

  • @LawrenceLugar1 It's called a Carrera Cabrio. If you make a GT3 a cabriolet, it's not a GT3 anymore.

  • Check all you saddo's out, thinking that you've got the knowledge of some next Jeremy Clarkson or someone. Get a life!

  • I'm truly a ford mustang guy but i when i look at cars like Porsche, Ferrari, Mercedes, and BMW. you can only imagine what goes into making those vehicles. I have a question are Porsche expensive to maintain?

  • @MrDarkvanity. No they're quite cheap to maintain. Not as cheap as a Nissan, but much cheaper than a Ferrari. As a rough rule of thumb maintenance costs are generally a the same percentage of the sticker price as for a normal (modern) car. So if you do the math you'll get a rough estimate. Hope this helps.

  • I don't get it, can anybody tell me why Top Gear give the GT3 more praise than the GT2, which goes faster up 205 mph, on the TG site. I checked the specs on both the official Porsche site and TG and still don't understand. Somebody help me!

  • @ez4432 The GT3 is much lighter, much stiffer much more precise, it's a strict race car almost, while the GT2 is a fast almost everyday car, and on track it's just not as good as GT3

  • @DarknessGTR oh o.k. thanks man

  • @LawrenceLugar1 no, just.... no

  • @LawrenceLugar1 If you fancy the feeling of a convertible, and some decent speeds, just get a VW Eos. Its good enough. If you want a porsh, then buy a boxster, they already made it for ppl like you.

  • @LawrenceLugar1

    Dumbest thing I've ever heard.

  • @LawrenceLugar1 Porsche will never make a GT3 convertible for 1 very good reason..

    Porsche engineers aren't stupid..

  • @petbedding01 i was about to write the same thing haha.

  • @petbedding01 What do you have to say about Porsche GT?

  • @Mr1Puff Carrera GT was designed around a carbon fibre monocoque chassis with carbon fibre subframes making it very light and very strong therefore not having a roof did not greatly effect its structural rigidity. The 911 chassis being comprised of steel cannot retain its structural rigidity when you cut the roof off without the addition of strengthening members which add more weight and blunt performance..

  • @petbedding01 HAHAH good. thats why its a top comment

  • @LawrenceLugar1 WHY WHY WHY??? I really dont get it

  • @LawrenceLugar1 dude, convertibles have so much less strength than a coupe for starts. so what if you get to wave ur gay hair in the wind and look like a tosser. its worse in the corners.

  • @LawrenceLugar1 You are an idiot.

  • like the gt3, see mine (do not lol):

    /watch?v=is49Z8rmhLk

  • The top on convertibles is for rainy or cold days only and makes no sense to have it up on a sunny day.

  • @LawrenceLugar1 Buy a Carrera S conver. or Turbo but leave the GTX alone! the spirit of the GT porsche is to be cutting edge! while all convertable version reduce hugely regidity and and increase weight!

  • If you want to ride around in a convertable... go bouy a boxster... the GT3's frame is so stiff and teh car is tight, cutting the top off weakens the cars structural integrity.

  • @johnnyadrenaline I agree. but he has a point about convertibles. I have a boxster and while its ok to drive with the top up, its just i can't get the ear to ear smile off my face when im in that car with the top down.

  • This video is so idk, it's so epic. It makes the hair on my back stand up.

  • Well you can go fuck yourself sockmaister. He was justing say it would be cool if there WAS a GT3 cabriolet

  • @LawrenceLugar1

I dont think there will be a convertible, it will be too heavy, and it will ruin the handling, something for a car that's suposed to do the opposite :)

  • that Porsche is fuckin sexy

  • you love it or you hate it !

  • "OLD WASHING MACHINE" THATS HILARIOUS =p

  • I'm really not a fan of Porsches. I think they might build a cabrio in 2012

  • @theIDKer they will not make a 911 GT3 cabriolet. Maybe your thinking of the 911 speedster.

  • @LawrenceLugar1

    why not build one yourself?

  • as I wanted to live there to get rich and buy a car that i love porsche

  • this our porsche to see more of it see here on my blog in wordpress search ambulance repairs sprint diary

    Thank you

  • @LawrenceLugar1 The GT3 is designed for the track, a Cabriolet/Convertible is not stiff enough. You can get yourself a Carrera 2S Conv. ;-)

    Greetz,

    Joseph

  • @LawrenceLugar1 no cuz its a gt3 a race car not a daily car this is a car u drive 1 time a month ...or just on the track and a convertable would just make it heavyer

  • @LawrenceLugar1 well you can have a 911 turbo s convertible ;-) it ain't the same as a gt3, but it's still a 911.

  • @dohnonymous u dont know anything about cars obviously

  • It's really a privateer racer, neh?Glad to see that Richie the Hamster has recovered from his LSR adventure.

  • It's really a privateer racer,neh?

  • @LawrenceLugar1

no such thing really, porsche say if they made that it would weigh 100 kilos more. this car is supposed to be light and agile

  • @LawrenceLugar1 plus its good just having the option. id rather have a hard top that converts though.

  • fuckin car

  • The music's first part is like Right Round! Thumbs up if i'm correct!

  • @Tharosa1942 I don't know if it is, though it is extremely similar.

  • 3:00; the few, the proud, the Marines

  • @LawrenceLugar1 yeah if you're in it for looks. A track car that's a convertible. Sounds smart. If you don't know - a convertible is so much extra weight and they did as much as possible to get rid of weight. Making it convertible would defeat the purpose of the entire idea behind the car. Wouldn't be a GT3.

  • this car is nice but has no luxary what so ever. even the door handles are rope ! what the fuck id rather take and old 911 and modify it, to go faster than have a car with no ac no sound proof and no godamn rugs and radio

  • @ARMONI555 This is made for the track idiot! Not for the road!

  • @Blueball0120 i know that dickface

  • It is the hole point of the car, than maybe someone should create a car with FWD and the engine in the back, totally pointless, but hey it will be it's feature!

  • i have heard this saying 911 ever

  • gtr beats that

  • @mikelove2110 This was in 2004. The GT-R did not exist. They wee just making a concept car and a that time they were working on it.

  • @Blueball0120 oohh snap this was 04 well i meant to say the cocept art could beat that lol :)

  • Don't ever mention the GTR again

  • 0:40 track name please....anyone?

  • whats the name of the first song?

  • @LawrenceLugar1 A convertible sports car is STUPID it gets all floppy, because it doesn't have a roof. I think top gear recently covered this with the 911 turbo cabriolet and 5.2 R8 convertible.

  • 0:01

  • Anyone know the song that start at 2:59 ? I've heard it so many places before ! :(

  • does anyone know the track names? particularly 0:40

  • @LawrenceLugar1 Too much body torsion on a cabriolet to do it to a GT3 or the RS. Then the idea of the car was to strip it down in weight..... convertibles are heavier cars.

  • Porsche FTW!

  • love the sound of a normally-aspirated 911.

  • maybe so, but the us can still make planes both passenger and military and better bombs, and when europe and japan feel naughty the us can singlehandedly slap the teeth out of both their mouths and send them home sniffling and saying poppa don't beat me no more! nuff said! 'Merica, ya heard fag?

  • @dohnonymous Depends on whether you consider prototype cars or not. Then the USA *MIGHT* compete with Japan. Other than that, I hate to admit that half our cars suck. XD

  • ITS RED, BECAUSE ITS FASTER!!!

  • WHY IS IT RED !!!!

  • The music at 4:54, please?

  • All this talk about American, European and japanese cars. American cars are better on a straight line yeah since America have more roads like that than any other country, Japanese cars are better than European cars but that's because I like tuners, European cars are better everywhere except for Japanese cars(I said it above) because they are built from the inspiration of tracks. American cars are not built for that kind of tracks, for christ sake they have Nascar, what does that tell you?

  • @Snirlex wooooooooh nascar!!!!!

  • @dohnonymous japan is just as good as europe but lacks the passion but for me performance over passion anyday sill a porsche and nissan fan

  • @dohnonymous INDEED !!!

  • Anyone have any idea what the music is from about 4:50?

  • @steveo66800 I thinki ts: Hans Zimmer - The Last Of The Mohicans (Soundtrack album)

  • @LawrenceLugar1

i believe girls come included with this beast :D

  • Hammond is wrong in one point though. The GT3 is and wasn't the best nine eleven ever. By the time of its release there already was the ultimate 911, the GT2.

  • KSM, My best friend, owns a ZR1 and a 1958 Corvette. I have driven both on Limerock's racetrack in CT and they both suck. And trust me I know how to drive. My father was a successful race car driver with his '58 Porsche Speedster. The ZR1 is a Chevy and unless you are skilled enough, the average driver will soon discover what the word "over steer" means. When you push a Porsche to its limits, there is very little work you have to do, except have fun, whereas with the Chevy, all you do is work.

  • Can someone tell the name of the piece played at around 4:50

  • Does anyone know the name of the song in the background at the very begining of the video!

    thx!

  • porsche FTW

    Ferrari sucks dick

    only 458 dont

  • @iron888888 No it doesnt suck dick, it begins to burn!

  • Whats the name of the song played at the start?

  • Wrong, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Porsches are anything but "humble." And Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin, Cintron and Range Rovers are far from bastions of structural integrity. Maybe you you should know what your talking about before you spewing hyperbole and rhetoric out of your uninformed mouth?

  • Yes, guild quality is something BMW has over CTS-V. But I don't think its worth extra 30grand, even top gear says that m5 is very fragile when driven on the track.

  • You guys are very defensive for no reason. For example nobody cared about a Cadillac (CTS-V) until it beat the M5 on the track... and in straight line... while costing 30,000 less... All of a sudden everyone started bashing it. Calm down, nobody is saying the M5 sucks. But as soon as an American car gets a good lap time all of you start saying that Lap times aren't that important, it has to be good as an everyday car too... Good luck using this GT3 everyday.

  • @alex14469 but you don't get the quality with the cadillac that you get with the bmw.

  • @alex14469 the fact of the matter is that the CTS-V is even remotely decent is because German engineers worked on the car, not only that, it was built for nurburgring standards, Americans only heard of the track once Gran Turismo came out, most of their products now are tested by Germans such as Buick for example, technically its not an American car, it just contains an American badge therefore the mentality is Quantity over Quality, that is the only reason its cheaper then the BMW

  • @fukwaynecampaign2 "remotely decent"? A remotely decent car does not end up being one of the fastest... (in it's class). BMW Z4 is made in the USA, does that make it American, Lotus gets its engines from Toyota, does that make it Japanese? How about Zonda, German? is Monaro VXR American? Companies share parts its just the way it is, that shouldn't take away the credit from the creators. "technically" working on it does not make it German same thing goes for testing...

  • a ford is a ford a chevy is just a chevy the zr1 may be a nice car but they arnt overall nearly as good as the imports becuase the imports are willing to change

  • 911 GT3 RS has 400 hp and made similar time on top gear track with 500+ hp cars

btw , why 114 people disliked this video ?

  • does anywone know what is the music at the begining of the vidéo ?

  • Yeah c'mon guys the Corvette F1 team will win the title this year...lmao

  • american cars CAN"T beat European cars but they CAN beat japanese cars

  • @mikasailor yah nissan gtr Lexus lfa are all junk oh wait the gtr is dollar for dollar one of the best fing cars in america

  • @mikasailor yeah i agree but if you supercharge the motor from an ameriacan and a jap car the jap car definitly own the american

but the question is : does a lot of people does it ? the answer is no so american is better (i'll not say anything about european superchargeds because you know they rockkkk ! )

  • Corvette is a Chevy and drives like a Chevy. What Tom Cruise said in Risky Business, rings true today; "Porsche, there is no substitute." And he is 100% correct. My father succeeded in racing because he drove a 1958 Porsche Speedster, which to this day could outshine any Chevy. My father said that they used to make fun of Corvettes back then for their lack of speed and performance. Their speed may have increased but their performance holds no weight against a Porsche.

  • @oscaridol588 you are ignorant. a 90s zr1 would shit on that porsche. as would any c5 or c6. and to those who say corvettes dont handle obviously dont know how to drive correctly or have never driven one and listen to other ppl too much. oh and the c6 zr1 beats any porsche under 500,000

  • @KsmEokEerF

just try with ferrari... you watch too much american tv adverts if you think that this crappy plastic american stuff can beat european cars...

  • @mx19idlewilder only ferrari to beat zr1 is an enzo=1,000,000 dollars. you cant beat a 7:26 sec lap around nurburgring for under 120,000 XD

  • @KsmEokEerF the new gto is prob. quicker

  • @KsmEokEerF

The Enzo went out of production 5 years before the ZR1 came along.

Being faster round a track for the least amount of money isn't want supercars are about. The ZR1 is a great car but it's not better than a Porsche or Ferrari just because it's faster. What matters to the buyer are not lap times but the driving experience.

The vast majority of people don't buy cars like this for the track. They are road cars first and track cars second.

  • @KsmEokEerF

listen sweatheart... ferrari 599GTO (approx. 350k E) broke recently 7min barrier on nurburg.

it was exactly 6:58.16. remember that result.

  • @KsmEokEerF

listen sweatheart... ferrari 599GTO (approx. 350k E) broke recently 7min barrier on nurburg.

it was exactly 6:58.16. remember that result. its the fastest lap time EVER for production car on nurburg.

corvette is a great car (especially the current version), but it is just a kind of a cheap (but still good) imitation of ferrari.

    and it always will be.

    thats the difference.

  • @mx19idlewilder u are correct ill admit about the times and what not. but my point is bang for the buck. u get supercar performance for about 110,000. in the 599gto, your gonna pay around 460k. and i was wrong the enzo actually put out a slower time than the zr1.

  • @KsmEokEerF or you can get an ultima gtr and for less then 100k you can go faster around topgears test track then a farrari fxx.. oh, then drive it home..

  • Corvette is a Chevy and drives like a Chevy. What Tom Cruise said in Risky Business, rings true today; "Porsche, there is no substitute." And he is 100% correct. Check out 356 Mag.

  • is this a 996? rather than a 997?

  • @MultiTopgearfan yes 996

  • Imports all the way!! I will buy a Civic SI before I buy a mustang....and one of these days I'll be smoking some tacky Corvette in a 911 :D
