is it less stressful for the baby to be born in water? i heard this from somewhere that if babies are born in a calmer environment such as in the water it's much less stress on the baby and mom rather than being born in a hospital.
Yes the water helped immensely. It was great to be able to move how I needed to and relax between contractions. I can't imagine doing it on my back tbh! And yes, I pushed for 4 hours solid in the water and out and back in the water.
I went through the same length of time pushing and I was in hard labor 12 hours with my first daughter...I did it in a hospital on my back (terrible!). Im having my second baby in Jan. I want a water birth...just one question did the water help alot? Even with the long process?
