@HoGraz - Clarify "Where were they when we were fighting to KEEP freedom?" I should understand the comment before I respond.
Never been present at a "GOP circle jerk" (thankfully), any circle jerk at that. Majority was Libertarian. OF COURSE many were conservatives (from both main parties,GOP in the majority.) Many had been actively working for our freedoms (i.e. Anti Patriot act, tax reform, personal liberties, reduction of debt and spending) Oh, and they all had their pants on...
Military spending has everything to do with higher taxes for the rich. The money has to come from somewhere, and middle class wages have been stagnant for 15 years. It is their failure to approach the country's bankruptcy in its totality that gives them away as opportunists seeking to divide the ranks based on socioeconomic factors. Dollars are dollars. And our dollars are spent waging war and repressing people who don't share our religious views. Any way you slice it, that becomes expensive.
This isn't a democrat or republican agenda . These people are fighting to keep the government listening to the people ,talking with the people , and not down to the people . When our opinion , rights , representation is secondary . Time to march and remind government . Who works for who .
