Is it a Sony Bravia TV? If you have a HDMI output on your Video card and an HDMI input on your TV, use that. Sony TVs have a limit on resolution via the PC Input. You can get around that with just using an HDMI cable.

My 4870 stutters like hell in a lot of games with vsync on, pisses me off to no end, and some drivers for it won't even install.
