The fact that Keith, Chris and all Zydeco artists have a chance to get, and be in the running for a Grammy is largely because of the Simien's hard work. He's been an advocate for the state, the culture, and the music for many years. As a young man I got turned on to Zydeco music by the Mallet Playboys.
