  • Poor phyche

  • Pcyche looks like she would be an excellent wife for Hades.

  • of all the Greek god and goddesses i hate Aphrodite the most she's selfish conceited and a cheating shrew

  • i see this is very accurate...only the thing is...eros didnt come just to show her around at nights ;P

  • reminds me of beauty and the beast!

  • Notice just how accurate the behaviour of her sisters is. Not hating, just noting that women are often very jealous if another woman got herself a truly good husband that treats her well. Men can act like that but it's rare.

  • Just as in Christianity, in Greek mythology you couldn't look upon the face of the gods or else you would die!

  • Eros like the rest of the Olympians could've always have taken human form.

  • I haven't seen this since I was a kid, Greek myhtology's the best!

  • Out of curiosity what is the one secind season episode you don't have?

  • @erodelbmud1

    "Androcles & the Lion"

  • True love cannot exist without trust! Amen to that!

  • i love greek mythology

  • Why is there always a monster with tentacles involved somewhere? I wish i had know about this show before. I freakin love greek mythology. keep it up.

  • Indeed.

You can see more tentacled monsters in "Cadmus & Europa" and "Jason & Medea" (if you count enchanted water as a monster, lol)

  • I LOVE GREEK MYTHOLOGY TY FOR POSTING THESE VIDEOS <3 I love this its my fave love story

  • You have to post more episodes I love this show

  • As has been stated many times, the only way there'll be any more posted, is if I manage to find the one 2nd-season episode that I don't currently have.

Otherwise, I have no intention of posting the rest of the 1st season, due to the horrible animation quality and mortal-centric storylines.

  • This is my favorite myth, and I feel sorry for Psyche. In the orginal myth though Aphrodite puts Psyche through several other trials before she is charged to go to the Hades to get a box or beauty.

First she had to seperate a large mixed pile of several different lentils, peas, and beans into individual piles before daybreak. Then she had to gather the golden woal of visious rams, then she had to get a bottle of water from the river styx.

  • I GET IT NOW.....love is blind...I understand XD

  • Never new tis existed oh well I was two when they made this. And I thought they didtn have door knobs back then

  • what? candle wax cant scar a god! lol

  • Man, I never knew this existed! As a big fan of Greek mythology, thanks for posting this!

  • You're welcome... I have more or less the whole 2nd season, and some select choices from the first, posted :)

  • you know this some how reminds me of beauty and the beast

  • I actually felt the same way when I first saw this. :)

  • i don't even know how but if just does. Maybe it just has to do with the inner beauty thing.

  • @kairahiwatari104

I read somewhere that Beauty and the Beast was loosely based off of the myth

  • Psyche reminds me a little of Odette from the Swan Princess.

  • (on 6:16)Damn Aphrodite is a giantess compared to Psyche in height!!!

  • If you'll watch some of the other videos, you'll see that all of the Olympians are depicted as 10-12ft tall; but with the ability to shrink themselves to human size at will (as Eros does twice: when he first appears to Psyche, and later when he first speaks to her on the banks of the river Styx).

Also, notice that Hades and Persephone are far larger than Psyche as well.

Also, you can see the height differential between mortal and gods depicted several times in "Ulysseys and the Trojan Horse"

  • Zephyrus was a god of gentle breezes, hence the term "zephyr".

Apollo fell in love with a young mortal (man) Hyacinthus, who Zephyrus had been courting. Because Apollo was a much more powerful god, he was able to win Hyacinthus' affection. In a jealous fury, Zephyrus grabbed a discus that some athletes were using and hurled it at Hyacinthus, inadvertently killing him.

Apollo was so enraged that he cursed Zephyrus to an eternal slavery as the West Wind, to serve sailors as they needed it.

  • @ImmortalSynn wait so apollo was gay? o.o

  • @ty0052

Bisexual at best... but then again, so were most of the other male gods.

Zeus had several male lovers (chief among them being Ganymede), and so did Pan, and several of the other gods as well.

All of them courted many women as well though, I can't recall a single Olympian or major god who was exclusively gay.

  • @ty0052 Apollo was bisexual, he loved both women and young boys.

  • Oh, and in my tradition of giving a shot out to all of the gods which appear in episodes: I forgot to mention that Zephyrus makes a cameo here as well-- one of the three confirmed gay/bisexual gods, how unique ;)

  • really? could you please explain this?

  • this is really cool thanx

  • ...as always, you're very welcome. Check out some of the other episodes :)

  • Ya gotta love Aphrodite:

a diva who believes she walks on water... and actually can!
