  • there's nothing better than training like this !!!! damn i love wrestling !!!!

  • wrestling is the hardest sport in high school lol well mine anyway

  • I wanna go there so bad!!

  • basic training force...

  • am i the obly guy that sees frankie edgar just chilling there

  • @rdglionheart where

  • @rdglionheart o fuck i just spotted him hahahahahha

  • My highschool wrestling is just as intense as this

  • Theres strong. theres army strong. then theres wrestling strong!

  • dam!!! intense

  • wow.. amazing

  • damn that looks tough

  • awesome! what type of training is this?

  • they practice without their shoes because...?

  • @Crownz47 They probably want to save their shoes for matches.

  • wrestling conditioning is crazy. i stopped wrestling 2 months ago, and ran last night, and they have me conditioned and so hardened that i ran a mile, but i ran it hard as hell. my legs still hurt lol nice and sore

  • This is great training. I wrestled at Amherst College and I still have flashbacks to my coach screaming "GET UP!" as I was getting my face mashed into the mat. Wrestlers are in such great shape because losing in Wrestling is one of the worst and most humiliating experiences in sports. But getting that first win is the best feeling in the world. Gotta love it.

  • Khaos ur retarded mma is a harder sport because u have to train for takedowns submissions strikes with elbows knees hands and feet on the head body and legs plus name one boxer who trains as hard as GSP also look wat James toney said when he prepared for couture he said mma training is harder dude nd don't say shit bout wrestling I wana see u last against Brent metcalf

  • @zerofox94 Dude. you need to realize that you dont train MMA. you train in Wrestling, and Ju jitsu... THAT makes it MMA. MMA is not a style of fighting its a combination of fighting. If your training FOR MMA you have to choose what type of style you want to train hardest for and if you pick wrestling you got your work cut out for you. I wouldnt say its the hardest cause I havent trained in all aspects of Martial Arts, but MMA is not a style.

  • @CEO1451 Your probably right and i have no rights to discriminate anyother sport ill admit wrestling is a great sport and very physical. Most of my friends were wrestlers including me but i played football throughout my collage year. so thats why my minds more set to football there workouts are weak in comparrison to wrestling

    but a sports a sport.

  • Meh Not a big fan anyways Footballs where its at Baby!

  • Bad memories lol, our wrestling team came 2 minutes late and our coach had us do 1 pushup for every second missed

  • wrestlers= descendants of gladiators. nuff said.

  • I do BJJ and recently was in the British Open, do you think taking wrestling classes will improve my game...alot of BJJ fighters take judo classes for the takedowns as ur wearing a Gi, but double and single leg takedowns are used aswell as competitions start of standing...

  • @Khaos969 With the way judo is now. With all the rules your better off with wrestling.

  • thats what im talking about im in wrestling too and when im in the room with the heater im like FUCK WHEN ARE WE GUNNA BE DONE but when its finally done i say i cant wait TILL I COME TO PRACTICE TOMORRROW!

  • TFW WTF Backwards.

    Gotta Love that training.

  • @ScarsandRevenge

...you know TFW is WFT backwards... just sayin...

  • is this the rutgers wrestling team or is it the wrestling club? can anyone join?

  • @bballsh4h no bud this is the rutgers university division 1 wrestling team, its not open haha

  • super training

  • NJ WRESTLING!!!!! Even your Penn State, North Car, Oklahoma or wherever National champs are from where??? NJ all day!!!

  • That just gave me chills,I wish i was training there right now!!!!Great coach,Martin Rooney is a genius.

  • @RemoKinga go for it dude! Im so excited for wrestling ima do all my years im just starting high school:))

  • should i join wrestling in my senior year in highschool? all my friends are saying dont join cuz the workout is too hard, but i want to be challenged, although i am only kinda fit, im 6ft 155lb 17 years old.

  • @RemoKinga join man you wont regret it even if you get used to wipe the floor you'll come out tougher and fitter. always find someone better than you to train with and i garantee you wont regret it

  • Wow. Amazing training session!!! I wish I could've wrestled in high school. Keep up the excellent work TFW!!!

  • hes an amazing trainer!!

  • NJ WRESTLING ALL DAY

  • We in Russia training Sambo is much more powerful.

    we train for 4,5 hours.

  • у нас в россии тренировки по самбо гораздо мощнее.

    мы тренируемся по 4,5 часа.

  • I wouldnt mind training here.

  • makes me miss organized sports. Going through HS football was one of the best experiences of my life. Never thought Id be happy having a redneck marine coach. Eternally grateful for good coaches.

  • just a update, if you guys dont know already the new ufc champ currently is frankie edgar and he train with these guys. thats how good rutgers wrestling is. edgar was the first man in 6 years to take down bj penn in the lwt division.

  • wrestling training is the hardest training for any sport ever thats all i have to say dont believe me give it a try youll be cryin for mercy your first day

  • From watching MMA i always hear about US Wrestlers and how its the best base for it.

Its true, the conditioning is amazing, but America arent actualy very good at it. Both Freestyle and Greco-roman are dominated by Russia, Europe and middle eastern countries. Just check the olympic records in every weight, America win a very little, even much smaller poorer countries do better. Unexpected,

  • because in america the most popular form of wrestling is scholastic so wrestlers spend their whole life training schalastic and have to make the transition to either greco or freestyle. Some stykes do not go well into freestyle or greco unfortunately

  • you think this is difficult, you should check out some other school work outs. Wrestlers have the best conditioning

  • That's pretty cool, we (judo) do a lot of the same exercises. I gotta say the transitions on a standing partner was a new one, though.

  • holly hell that's crazy love it

  • Holy shit... are they like the number 1 in NewJersey??? They train like armies

  • I wrestle to, and that Pushup thing is EXTREMLY HARD

  • Unfortunately a pro-wrestlers career only averages 3 to 5 years in length, then you end up working at Burger King or mickey d's after your short lived career.Maybe if your lucky you can open a wrestling school when you can't wrestle anymore.

  • This is Training!!

  • "you think this is pain? IT IS!"

  • Training in MMA, no joke, wrestlers have the most conditioning and toughest work ethic of any of the athletes I work with.

Boxers lose it on the ground, ju jitsu grapplers lose it on their feet. Wrestlers never run out of gas. I train wrestling strictly now and my conditioning, my strength and my confidence in all other aspects improved. I wish I wrestled in high school now.

  • Wrestling is definitely a good base for MMA. I'd say the best. BJJ a close second.

  • watch Brenden Schaub vs Jon Madsen on youtube, it was in the UFC, Jon Madsen is a world class wrestler and Brenden Schaub is a boxer and been boxing for 11 years. Brenden shut him down on the ground :)

  • Thats a joke, watch Brenden Schaub vs Jon Madsen, he was a pure wrester facing a golden gloves boxer, and brenden still got up to his feet and knocked him out late in the first with a 1-2 punch. And just because people that train boxing doesnt mean they dont train wrestling. + i dont think you dudes in wreslting skip, punch the punching bag with a gas mask on eh, like training at high elevation.

  • @NamelessMC

    ya me too

  • @NamelessMC wrestling does take alot of stamina.but i wrestled in college and im currently in mma. i love wrestling but i gotta say mma is tougher

  • @NamelessMC i totally agree with you. where do you train for wrestling? I need to know how to learn outside of high school

  • @NamelessMC Boxers dont lose it on the ground, because in boxing you fight with ur hands, what are u talking about different sports adjusting to mma? or just conditioning and fitness?....Boxers have the best conditioning try fighting 12 rounds 3 minutes rounds , non stop moving and punching and taking punches, wrestling matches dont last anywhere near aslong and they take no dangerous punishment.Boxing has more kos and deaths then any sport there is...they are the supreme athletes

  • @Khaos969 Dude, Boxers go that long because it doesnt take as much strength to punch... Wrestling doesnt last as long because your wrestling the body thats against you plus your body weight. So if you weigh 130, your going to be exerting at least, 260 pounds non stop the whole match. Thats a LOT more then taking one punch every 2 or 3 seconds. or a combination of punches that last from 2-7 seconds. Its alot differnt.

  • @martyleakey21 Now think about a little more carefully... 2 boxers 8 ounce gloves fighting furiously, fienting, foot work, asorbing punches to head and body, takes ALOT more out of you then a wrestling match... 1 punch can take every bit of steam out of you, one ten second fighting exchange takes enormous amounts of stamina... boxers have to be far more fit then wrestlers fact, just look at there training regimes its says it all.Wrestlers dont take punches and dont compete for 36 minutes.

  • @Khaos969 No son. Wrestling is more intense.

  • nice session bro

  • uhhh, why arent they wearing wrestling shoes???

  • Comment removed

  • i was wondering that too, but since they are not wrestling i guess they let opt not to wear them.

  • this is normal training for wrestling..

    they didnt even go live

    true story-

they- put a US navy, park ranger, and wrestler in the woods. guest who surrives the longest? wrestler.

  • @GreenDayFan898989 hahaha i'd believe that last part. my buddy's in the navy and he says it's a joke, the PT is just lame. you'd have to be either a fighter pilot or a SEAL to really be strained and skilled in survival.

and well a park ranger..think yogi bear xD

not trying to defame wrestlers, they've got lots of physical training, just sayin that i would've placed money on them lasting longer against a seaman and a park ranger lol.

  • @GreenDayFan898989 well obviously not since the wrestler doesn't necessarily have any knowledge of how to survive in the woods but, my opinion about wrestling:

It has by far the best conditioning of all sports that are significant today in MMA, this is of course very general but according to what I've seen it's true. Wrestling is a great asset, you decide where you want to keep the fight and accompanied by boxing or muay thai and some grappling, you are good to go.

  • @GreenDayFan898989 Lmao Nigga what the fuck kinda comparison is that wrestling doesnt have anything to do with surviving in the woods

  • @GreenDayFan898989 dont believe a wrestler last longer then a park ranger in the woods, But i get the joke. LMAo

  • @ILUVJEZUZ94 wrestlers would last longer in the woods, or in the bedroom when he bangs the rangers wife that night!!!

  • @GreenDayFan898989 for some people maybe but thats just how martin R roles boy

  • Comment removed

  • @Airbornerock Well duh, the moves they learn are for killing not for wrestling... This is training for wrestling not a high intense battle where you haven't slept for days, no food, and oh yeah nobody can hear about the battle

  • @GreenDayFan898989 ima wrestler that comes from the woods lol i started climbing rope, push ups, jogging, sit ups and when i was 8 and started wrestling this past year and now i lift weights and do amateur boxing

  • for real the music from Conan

  • awesome stuff Martin, I see a few Underground trained athletes there....niiiice!

  • sounds like the conan soundtrack...
