  • Thank you RunnersWorldTV for showing people what a Turkish getup shouldn't look like..

  • the girl should be lifted up and put on a guys erect penis for this exercise

  • Funny, how come we never heard of this move in Turkey? How about Greek getup? Or Greek going DOWN :)

  • Funny, how come we never heard of this move in Turkey?

  • im from turkey lol

  • This really doesn't look effective.

  • Worst "turkish get-up" ever!!!

  • "RunnerWorldTV" - no wonder why they totally screwed this exercise up. She should be careful, that 5 pounder she is holding could fall on her and she could end up with a really bad bruise. She should drop it down to 3 lbs just to be safe.

  • This isn't a turkish get-up.

  • turkish getup? wtf ? why?

  • Worthless technique!!! with a way to low weight even for her.

Sad to look at i hope no one tries to mimic her crappy posture.

  • Modified TGU. A real TGU with KB would not work this way.

  • If I might make a suggestion: try doing it with a medicine ball....you'll have to observe better form (to side, then one-arm bridge, etc) and it'll force you to keep the shoulder more engaged

  • I think this is the Israeli variation. I know a trainer who uses it as a fitness assessment. Personally I think it's a waste of time. Try doing this method with a 48kg kettlebell.

  • That is not a Turkish Getup! If you do this with an anyway heavy weight you will damage your lower back

  • this is not a turkish get up. it is a watered-down version of it.

  • Oh, it looked about right to me. How is it wrong?

  • Her arm should remain perpendicular to the ground, with an active shoulder, controlling the weight- not just supporting it. Authentic TGU are done from laying on ones side, to knee, to full stand and back again.

This movement would not be successful if done with a higher weight.

  • Almost like reverse burpees. Good for cardio as well.

  • I love kettlebell training... the turkish getup really works my abs especially the obliques. (rather than boring situps:)~ The key is slow steady movements to engage all muscle groups. I would recommend trying it without your kettlebell for the first few sets.. looks easy..... doesn't it? Well it isn't. : ) Talk all the **** you want.....

  • im really glad to see everyone knows this is BS

  • what the fuck is this shit. so hot though

  • This is a gym tale waiting to happen.

  • I think at this point saying anything negative would be like kicking a dying dog in the head.

    However... seriously?

  • horrible

  • I'm not sure what this exercise is but it isn't a turkish get up.

  • about the stupidest TGU I ever saw.

  • Terrible form. Hope this does not get published in a magazine. Someone will get hurt.

  • not the best form. But that model has a fit body.
