  • and they all dress like weirdos, typical

  • @YETIVIDS You would be best served placing all of a comment continued on one video, instead of spreading the same comment across a total of 2. It makes a lot more sense to do this as you pick up on a thought, extending it here as to where someone may not have read the other comment or may not read this one... Just thinkin' ;-p

  • garbage, this band is, garbage

  • am i the only one who thinks this guy is amazing on cd but couldnt sing his way out of a paper bag live??!?....

  • @riffman75 Yes you are. Even though this isn't one of his better performances, he still blows the shit out of a paper bag.

  • @riffman75 You know, most performances by artists today, are not truly live performances. It seems anymore, most of these players of a solid game of charades, is lip syncing! So, before you continue to knock them, I remind you that: A. You were obviously searching for them to see their live performances and B. You came to be negative. Next time, just leave or stick your ears with your brain, in the non-operational status, room! That is most obviously the case for you!

  • @riffman75 brent smith is amazing live i've seen them and he is one of the best vocalist alive....

  • @riffman75 Having seen the band Shinedown live a total of 6 times, I believe you are using a bit of biased misjudgement. Although having the opportunity to share your opinion on your personal feelings on their talent, it is quite unfounded to place such misconstrued information when the proof is valid that the band has immense talent.

  • @riffman75 Yes, you are the only one. Sure, this makes you exclusive but not in a positive mannner as Brent can sing rings around most any other leading-bands lead-singer's of todays era of bands. In other words, bands today utilize so much computer assistance on their vocals when recording their CD's that they are unable to reproduce while out on the road performing a concert.

  • @riffman75

    Yes....Yes you are.

  • we all need a second chance

  • Seats lol

  • I had a field ticket, but to get some better shots, I went up into the stands for a bit, to get the view. I'm only 5'8" so, I had no benefit to standing on my own two feet at ground level! But, this worked great, especially with my 20x's optical zoom!

  • ya there are good sits... and there is like 3 stages main stage stage 1 and stage 2 lol but its awsome how they work it though

  • I saw them at Rock on the range in Winnipeg and WOW!!!

Weather was rainy and absolute shit, but they were worth it!

    Gosh he's a talented man!

  • Hey I want to go to ROTR this year and I was wondering is there 1 stage? Also, it looks like you had seats, I was wondering if the seats are decent?

  • If they want to watch the video and pay attention, they would have been better off just going to the concert. Now, as for referring to me as a dick head, I just have to assume that because you've already figured out that you suck, and it would just hopefully give you potential to join me when I go to these shows. But, I'm satisfied with my lady and you obviously just get no satisfaction from anything or anybody in life so, naturally, there's Jack Kavorkian for people like you. Just STFU.

  • Get over it and if you want to see the show, go to the concert. Very simple.

  • why do you take all that pictures? :)

  • I use a standard still-shot digital Canon SX10IS camera. Therefore, since I did not purchase a camera to take a lot of videos (because it's truly not my interest), I only take the videos for a little sound. I couldn't care less about the visual aspect of the video. Apparently though, people feel they can assert themselves and try and control me which, I promise all, will never happen! But, the pictures are for my own photography collection, since that's the reason for owning the camera!

  • I understand. If was going to a Shinedown- concert, I would have take a lot more pictures I think. They're awesome :)

  • Personally, I would learn how to speak full, proper sentences before I went to any concert. For that matter, I would refrain from going into public for the exact same issue as, I wouldn't want to look justifiably ignorant. Thankfully, I do not, but I have the notion that you do act and speak as a justifiable fool.

  • He was at our house for New Years! (Stevie)

  • He has a drug problem! My dad's friend Stevie spent his own money to get them known. Travis recorded them and sent it out to get them a record deal! People get your facts right! He is a great singer! But he really does have a drug problem!

  • no no, he's over it now.

  • @AshFlash22 your dad's friend Stevie! seriously! well then i've heard all i need to, people listen to the kid whose dad knows a stevie

  • He got to take a break.. It's been just to much touring lately ; s

  • this is terrible!

his voice is shot, and he cannot make it up to any of the high notes anymore. he sings in such an unhealthy matter

  • what the hell? it sounds incredible!

and he has bin touring alot lately so his voice is probably worn out

  • I don't think it's due to abuse... Did you ever find a live version of the song sang like the record?? If you ever do post it... I respect Shinedown...but that song was studio... I think singers shouldnt perform a song on a record if they can't sing it live...my opinion...! Actually I don't think I ever found anybody who covered it like the record...

  • This is a sad example of a once good singer abusing his voice and now feeling the consequences

  • were you like taking pictures or somthing

  • Absolutely! Plus, I have no regrets! Why? I got some awesome still shots via Digital Photographs, while shooting video! So, although the video is cool, I know to shoot whatever I want to keep and learn from! So, questions? Comments?

  • Jicky dude, you should have bought pit tickets dude. I went with a couple who had seat tickets and we had pit and we totally had a better time. Who was your favorite band there?

  • I had field tickets! However, towards the end of the show, I had gotten so drunk and was in the pit so much that, I decided to swing up high to utilize my zoom and get some shots. People keep asking about the snap shots, but I use a standard "still-shot" camera. Therefore, the videos are just a little something on the side that I can take while still achieving some of my pictures! I can't wait for this upcoming's ROTR tho! It'll be amazing, yet again! Until then, Rock on brotha!

  • sounds staged at the beginnin

  • What do you mean?

  • hi i didnt make this comment you'll have to ask my teenager what he means it was probably him!

  • no worries! My father has my password for Youtube saved on his computer. We are both a little nutty per say, so we do crap like that! No issues though! I found it quite funny so why not? Take care and yeah, if I were him, I'd be checkin' out ShineDown too! It was no big deal, rather funny though! And my mother says I can dance!(<---Something my father will comment on other videos with, using my name! Interesting replies, to say the least! :- )

  • so was i! it was cold at dark though.

  • nice video....i was sunburnt at this point in the show

  • I think Brett's Voice is going..... I saw them during the leave a whisper and us and them tour and He sounded unreal.

  • That very well may be the case. I saw them during the Us and Them Tour and I completely agree that Brent sounded tremendously better than he did on this tour. Then again, maybe it was just a bad day, but if you notice, he never goes to the high notes and that makes me question what was wrong with him that day! I don't know, but I was glad to see them regardless and without a doubt would go and see them again if I could. Unfortunately, I don't have that on my agenda this week :- /

  • I agree 0:41 - 1:00 what happened!?

  • Either he had a Jessica Simpson like moment where he forgot the lyrics, or his bubble just burst! Until the second verse, he was doing terrible on the chorus. But, even on the 2nd verse, he was having some issues, especially around 1:40 forward! Who knows, but I'm gonna look at future videos to see how he did and if it has similar problems or if it was just a bad day! Look at his climax at 2:45ish and see how bad it is! Then people went wild? Just don't react if it sux!

  • yeah, i saw shinedown 3 times on this tour....... and all three shows..... it just wasn't the same.... it's a shame. if this was 2006.... He'd kill these vocals and cause tears to roll down my face....... His voice was insane only 2 years ago!

  • BTW thats some awesome video quality. What kind of camera do you have?

  • Hey, thanks a lot! Normally, I have a severe issue with the sound quality because I always get close, which I did for ROTR but found that I could actually get a better view and have a better time if I left the field and went to the stands! So, I went to the nosebleeds after checking out all the views! My camera is a Canon SX-10 and it seems to be a great camera, although I truly preferred my old "less advanced" camera more sue to its size which it was a Canon SX-100IS(which is now the SX-110IS.

  • i didnt think shinedown did very good

  • I thought they did alright, although Brent did not go for his high notes, rather improvised with low harmonics. However, it was a great show and I was happy at the end, to see them play! So, no complaints from me, even though I know he is able to hit those high notes, I also understand sometimes their voice is just off and they don't want to mess up, so improvise as a precaution!

  • Amazing, i saw them at "MTV Rock Im Park" in Germany =D Perfect music =D

  • there new album is awesome and seeing them was definitely a highlight for me that weekend.

  • your INSANE for even thinking brent sucks,

    wow.

  • saw them. love them :D

    i loved slipknot thoughh!

  • Shinedown had a great show too! Only bands better to me were A7X and Slipknot.

  • I was there for Sunday and it was amazing

  • I live in Columbus, I saw both days and this was the most amazing concert ever. Thanks for letting me relive this band!

  • my wallet got stolen the first day so i missed the second day. im so dissapointed. but i got to see slipknot and that was the most important to me. it was well worth it.

  • Someone tried to steal my camera. I donated a blow to his face. I got kicked out. The end.

  • dude i went crowd surfing they said i was fighting on my way in and try to kick me out but didn't

  • They must have been watching me for some reason! I don't truly understand why as I was one of the more preppy, conservatively dressed individuals at the show! Maybe I was the only one wearing a Armani suit to the show? But, in most cases, that puts off the notion that someone is safe or not violent or malevolent in intent! But, whatever! I saw what I needed and it was more than worth the money! Sorry they gave you sh1t but, I guess that's they jobs! See ya next year~

  • I caught a bunch of crap because my arm band got ripped off on the floor and they wouldn't let me back down on the floor. They sent me on a scavenger hunt for "the mythical gate that replaces arm bands" which didn't exist even though I had my ticket. This was my first year and if I go next year, I'm not paying the extra money. I'll sit in the damn stands.

  • Awesome vid. Are going to post all the pic you took somewhere? I trying to collect alot of pics from RotR cuz my camera got busted during Static X

  • I understand and I hate to hear that! Twice now, I have had similar experiences! I had a Canon SX100IS prior to this camera and after owning it for about 8 months and dropping it numerous times, I finally dropped it one night at a Seether concert and lucky for me, broke it! So, after only taking about 2 videos and 15 or so pictures, it was done and I wasn't leaving! So, what do you do! But, sorry to hear you lost it, but at least you can still see it in your mind!

  • that picture crap is the stupidest most annoying thing ive seen in my whole life!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thank you. Now you can go elseware and expound upon your wasteful life! Thanks for coming and enjoy this permanent commercial break!

  • that whole weekend kicked ass!!!!

  • this is fucking annoying.

  • ""this" is fucking annoying.?" Define "this" please.

  • omg i wanted to go sunday but i didnt have tickets but all i got to say was the last song from motley crue was good even though it was over the phone

  • lol u took a picture.....

  • More than one, although I forgot it was obvious during the videos, that I was taking pictures! I will say though, for those that have issues with that, there are plenty of videos elsewhere of Rock on the Range. So, no need to complain to me about a decision that you or somebody else, makes.

  • Shinedown was nuts. They were very intense and much better than last year. Probably my favorite of the whole concert.

  • I have to agree, though it's a tough call between Shinedown and Buckcherry! I like more songs by Shinedown though, so I have to give it to them! Great show overall though, irregardless of who was best and who was worst!

  • Shinedown rocked!! They sounded way better then last yr @ rotr. Somebody screwed with their amps to make them sound really bad last year, but when i saw them in Dayton 7 months later they kicked ass big time!

  • I agree! My only problem overall with many of the bands this year was, they needed to work on their sound checks for the lead mic! Many times, the lead singer would pull his mic back & nobody could hear them! Now, I fully understand this has to do with presentation and stage presence, but I also know that this is dependent on sound checks, as well! So, other than that, it was a great show, even though I found the lineup better last year!

  • rock on the range was amazing this year...shinedown was definitely one of my favorites

  • My dads camera fells out of his pocket when shinedown had us do that too. We lost all of the pictures we had on it!!! It sucks ass!!!

  • wow really nice quality. shinedown was AMAZING again. im jealous of your camera: i think you should put up any other vids you have cuz even your hoobstank video all up close was really clear compared to most other vids :P nice vid

  • That was a good concert. I was right down front. It was a blast! Unfortunately, when Avenged took the stage, it got down right nasty right up front.

  • nice vid! nice camera too.. takin' pics as you make a vid! awesome
