I have not carried that much weight, yet. My cross country touring bike has a 20 X 34 gear - me + bike + over 120lbs up step hills at 3 mph. Or my Erou city bike with upto 80lbs on ice and windws over 35mph commuting - Life without a ugly metal box is great - and much easier than most think... << think
Oh, I also have a flat bed trailer that I used to move with - load over 150lbs.... + loaded bike....
the negative is that his helmet is on wrong. he should ditch the had and wear the helmet correctly. the way he has it on, it'd be too easy for it to slide forward and off his head in the event of an accident. I'm all for cycling, I do it every day but it irks me when other people on bikes do dumb things (like not follow the rules of the road, not wear a helmet, etc). Helmet safety aside this is a great video
I've watched this about a dozen times at my toddler's request. I've decided that it might have steered better if one of the boxes was on a front rack. I think the front wheel was too light in this setup, causing some over-steering and corrections.
AMAZING, smile. A wonderful bicycle adventure. Tenacity by big Dave, well done. Everyone in that video seems so nice. Is everyone in that town that nice? I experience those "wiggles" when I overload my BOB trailer too. Like Dave said, you only know what is too much once you've tried it, smile. Thank you for sharing.
I have a Mundo V3 and a pair of GoGetter bags. It's pretty great for doing big shopping trips. I haven't tried anything close to 400lbs of cargo, though. Very impressive.
cool clip thanks for sharing ..

This is really awesome, guys! I totally agree with @markstos, that thing needs a front rack.

I just bought a Yuba Mundo. It should arrive this week. I bought it so I could carry everything, even 400 pounds of bananas if I wanted to.

@jamesbondsv - You're not the only James Bond with a Yuba Mundo! There's one in Salem Oregon, too!
