  • That's too bad more won't be made. I very much enjoyed it and felt it was extremely informative and useful

  • sounds awesome, now do a high gain brütal metal pedal! :D

  • @Distortionize We do, the Triple Wreck. You can gear demos of it on our site...!

  • @wampcat AHHH! its YOU Wampler O.O I knew the Pedal before, but i had forgot that YOU build them! o.o

What i meant was, that you should build a example of a high gain ciruciut on a BREADBOARD, cause i want to start developing my own Pedals and i DO need high gain stuff ;)

  • @Distortionize Unfortunately, I can;t see any more videos being made like this in the near future, sorry...

  • @wampcat Damn it :/ .. okey thank you :)

  • when you say "bias" it, do you mean equaling the load on both + and - ?

  • At 3:00 that is a non-electrolytic capacitor. Oops ;) I know, I screw up on camera too.

  • That was cool nice job.

  • Cool! I like your breadboard. After learning a thing or three it seams to me that tone control circuits are the key to making a good effect.

    Nice job!

  • What model of Breadboard is that? Its quite big, I like that. I ordered one from Nightfire electronics with a parts kit, hoping it will suffice..

  • what op amps are you using? and do they need separate pos and neg rail power or can one be 9v and the other be ground, or what?

I'm designing my own for my final project and would like to know for future... i just went with a BJT on this one because i couldn't figure out the whole op amp situation

  • I would use the + leg of your 9V battery pigtail as the rail power, and the - leg of it as the negative rail.. That way its basically emulating how the voltage will work when its actually a pedal.

  • i think you should do a tutorial on making a soft clipping circuit

  • here is my question. what gauge wire is the best to use for this kinda stuff? 20 gauge?

  • nice lesson dude...am just getting into yhis..mostly distortions etc...haven't a clue what i;m doing really but love attaching caps and resistors to various chips...i found some great reults using lm386....072 etc...excellent.

  • I am trying to learn how to build effects for myself. You have been the biggest help yet. Please check out my tone in one one of the vids.

  • Great tutorial-thank you, you've got me thinking about doing this.aGAIN thank you for the inside scoop.

  • Brian,

I enjoy seeing how you do that. Very nice breadboard setup. Wish I knew more about the basic circuitry.

Which of your books would be best to get me started on building pedals this way?

    Thanks,

    Wayne
