You can buy the other weapons at the blacksmith, but some weapons, such as the spear, can only be used after disarming or picking up the weapon from a dead guard, but not added to your arsenal.

Perhaps it's just because assassin's are too fucking pro for that shit. Anyways, in Brotherheed they made fights quicker and perhaps more skillful (haven't played it yet, only seen videos).

@Destructides Well in Brotherhood....just to give you a hint of what the combat is like, I checked my stats and I've killed 14,800+ guards. Do you realize how many fucking guards that is? That must be at least a decent proportion of all of the fucking men in the entire city of Rome! And I've gotten the highest of a 99 kill streak, which pisses me off that it isn't 100. A kill streak is just going from one guard to the next and killing them with no resistance whatsoever. I love it.

lol u know how you can kill your own faction right? I accidentally landed while jumping on a courtesan and she flew off the roof lsimilar to the flying machine kick and landed and kinda died after getting smashed to the ground. Another way to kill your factions is to push em in water xD. Oh and once i was being chased by guards and double air assassinated two, one of them hit to other guards and all three off them landed in water and the other one hit one other guy so with one action 5 died
