Well, he made a career for himself in the NFL, then he made a career for himself in movies. He did both of those without giving up his principles.

Which do you think helps out black children in Columbus more? The example of his life, or him coming through town throwing out lollipops?

It is really sad that Bernie Casey has never done anything for his hometown of Columbus, ohio. Nothing! You would not even know he was from here. His old high school (Cols East) has many black children who could identify with him but nooo.....he is the classic example of black folks reared in the hood, become rich and never look back. He was dirt poor from the projects. In fact, my father used to give him a ride to school everyday because my granparents were one of the few who could afford cars.

@Dionify You should understand that maybe the times had something to do with it. When he was growing up, racism was rampant in America. Maybe, just maybe, he had some encounters with such, and these incidents soured him on his hometown to the point where he did not want to have anything to do with Columbus, Ohio, to which I can definetely understand.
