  • @RefutingCalvinism Classic mistake in logic because you have pride does not mean all have pride .... the fallacy of hasty generalization !

    2nd Peter 1:3 seeing that his divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and virtue;

if an individual has KNOWLEDGE of Christ Jesus the example of humility ( lack of Pride ) should be evident ..... humility is the essence of agape love / self sacrifice

  • @rsd615 Are you saying that I committed such a fallacy? I hope that's not what you are saying. I am coming against such a fallacy. I hear it all the time when sinners say that I MUST be sinning everyday, "since everyone else is doing it".

  • @RefutingCalvinism No Sorry I responded to the wrong poster ... I agree with all you have said here my comment should have been directed to YungShyne01 ... it is a fallacy of logic to apply the notion that all have pride/sin active in our lives because we had them in the past does not mean we have them in the present to hold this idea is to deny the scripture written by John in 1st John

  • @rsd615 Gotcha. Thanks for clarifying...

  • @RefutingCalvinism 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, cleanses us from all sin. 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1:10 If we say that we haven't sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

  • @RefutingCalvinism / YungShyne01 Our confession of past sin initiates the process of cleansing which is done by Jesus and restores us to righteousness so a repentant confessed sinner has righteousness restored to deny this is to deny jesus as is presented clearly by John in 1st John ch1

  • Amen. John Wesley's definition of sin, using the Bible's own words, is "a VOLUNTARY transgression of a KNOWN law of God," which supports the truth of what you are saying.

  • @Seamus4486 Actually, it has nothing to do with the content of this video. The rules for commenting are found on my channel home page. I suggest you read them before commenting again...

  • @Seamus4486 I'm sorry...what does any of this have to do with the content of this video? What is the point/purpose of these questions?

  • @RefutingCalvinism I agree with everything you said but your not saved by works your saved by grace not works and everyone does have pride i doubt you dont have it and yes but its all about faith no matter how strong or how weak faith is faith what your asking of a man is true we should strive to be perfect but i dont think thats what counts in the end if you have faith you'll be saved John 3:15

  • @YungShyne01 It's quite ironic to me, that you are attempting to prove that ALL of us always have "pride/sin" in our lives, but you provide not ONE SHRED of Biblical proof. Do you really expect me to accept such a thing? You have SO MANY verses to overcome, that it's not even funny. Why don't you just stop being prideful, stop sinning and follow Jesus? Why not just put away all of your flimsy excuses, walk according to the Spirit, abide in Christ and do all things through Christ?!

  • @RefutingCalvinism no pride is a sin and everyone has pride so your always in sin noone can be perfect i was always taught its about Faith and relationship with God that saved souls

  • @YungShyne01 I admitted that pride was a sin, so there is no argument there. Where does the Bible EVER say "everyone has pride so your always in sin" and that "no one can be perfect"? Why do you think that obedience to God is opposed "faith and a relationship with God"? Do you really think that you can have true faith without works? James 2:17-20 disagrees with you. Do you really think that you can have a loving "relationship with God" without obeying? 1 John 2:3-4 disagrees with you...

  • @RefutingCalvinism But what about pride?? and 1 john 1:8 which says sin in the present tense and 1 john 1: 10 says sin in past tense?? (not objection just asking)

  • @YungShyne01 Yes, pride is a sin. I don't see what you are getting at though? If you are saying that because someone says they are obeying God that they are being "prideful", I'd like to see where the Bible defines admitting the truth as "prideful". As I said at the beginning of this video, I have already done a whole video on 1 John 1:8. You can find it by searching for 1 John 1:8 in the video search box on my YouTube Channel. God Bless...

  • Sorry about my lack of understanding how to reply on youtube - no reply button. I asked you about your stand on perfection in a previout post. I told you I was confused about your msg - you wanted me to give you an example in a video. I had already provided the Daytona Beach video. You clearly indicate that you used to sin and that after you were saved you do not sin anymore but only keep God's commandments. I just wanting to know if you have ever sinned willfully after coming to Christ?

  • @jeetfeet No problem. As I said in my last response, I have NEVER said that I have "never sinned since becoming a Christian". You obviously read into what I said in another video. I have LOTS of Daytona Beach videos. Telling me you heard me say that without giving me the exact video AND time in that video, doesn't help me any. As I said in my last comment to you, I've always said that I have sinned since I have become a Christian, therefore there is NOTHING to be confused about...

  • God bless you, Kerrigan. I thank God this video cleared up so many burdens I had that were false burdens. The LORD bless you. John

  • @jcschain1 Great! The Lord bless you too brother...

  • Hi, I'm somewhat confused by your explanation. I'm a born again Bible believing Christian brother and I am not trying to attack you or your theology in any way, I just am not sure of your message. You told the crowd in the Daytona Spring Break video you do not sin since you've been saved but in this video you said that you are not saying you haven't sinned in the last week or month or year. So then are you saying you have sinned in the past month?

  • @jeetfeet Actually, I've NEVER said, "I haven't sinned since I've been saved". In fact, I've always said the opposite. What's there to be confused about? Please point me to a video and a time in that video where I say "I haven't sinned since I've been saved" or anything even close to that...

  • @RefutingCalvinism - King David intentionally sinned when he had sex with bathsheba, and then had her husband killed by putting him in the frontlines on purpose to die in a battle

  • @DictatorStatus Right. I never said that there wasn't anyone in the O.T. who sinned willfully. I said that there was no atonement provided for willful sins in the O.T. law. This means, obviously, that it was God's will that His people never sin intentionally. God Bless...

  • @RefutingCalvinism - sorry i misunderstood what you said in the video, i thought you was saying that anyone that intentionally sinned in the old testament lost any opportunity to get saved

  • @DictatorStatus No problem. That's definitely not what I was saying...

  • Are those Greek vocabulary memory cards (from Mounce) in the background? :-)

  • @ThePristineFaith Yes they are! :0)

  • Do you ever think you will make a video about the John Calvin vs. Michael Servetus murder? There are many books about this subject and I believe Calvin had Servetus murdered. It would be nice to see you make a video about this on your refuting Calvinism series. God Bless...

  • @iknowthetruth777 Yes I do plan on doing one. I have been studying that issue for about 2 years now. It's "on the list" of videos to do...

  • Glad to see you make a new video!

  • @Figsx Thanks friend. I was excited to make a new one!
