  • My fantasies fulfilled.

  • tu lo ves..???

  • Pearls before swine... I also think FGTH were too hard on themselves regarding 'Liverpool'... I hope the original recording of this great live performance still exists, somewhere!

  • this isnt from the tour right?

the crowd seem a bit sleepy

  • @jensaushamburg ..no it wasnt from the tour..it was a Live television appearance on ENGLISH CHANNEL 4...programme called the THE TUBE.

  • 2:40 cult-dancing steps .-)

  • This is just amazing!!!!

  • My wife (Lesley) and I are just back in from spending a couple of hours in the pub with Ged and his wife (Sharon) who Lesley's known for years!!!

Have a pint with Ged 2 or 3 times a week!!

  • Wow! if this is true [with respect] then you're a lucky man, say hi from me and if i was in your neck of the woods i'd buy you all a beer Cheers!!!

  • Who's the second guitarist on this live show.

  • @ sansana : well...you have Mark o'toole the bass player....then you have Brian nash on Lead guitar and the other guitarist in question is Ged o'toole who is Mark o'tooles brother.

  • But he's left the band on the early years isn't it.

  • Ged o,toole was only in the band when they played live...they are originally a 5 piece as you should know..but when re-producing that perfect sound needed they had the extra keyboard player and an extra guitarist. AWESOME LIVE.

  • hi has any1 got lunar bay audio only taken from fgth liverpool cd ?.

  • love this shit

  • And critics said they can't play live! Proved wrong here!

  • great band i love it...but i love ELVIS TOO..

  • I just love FGTH what a great sound and image they had :-)

  • he robbed them but he made them.

the devil and a saint :

    trevor horn.

tip of the cap to lipson, andy richards, richard niles, dudley and crew.

    (and god bless jilly.)

  • bumped into Mark o'toole last week in fort lauderdale, Florida last week..what a very nice polite man he is..! he,s not up is own arse like most pop stars are.!!! good one mark.

  • lucky you...

  • FGTH 4 EVER FGTH THANKYOU

  • Holly is the king

  • Elvis was the King before 70´s

  • One of my fav tracks off the `liverpool album, FGTH will rock for ever.

  • hearing this again has just made me order Liverpool again....on CD this time :-)

superb stuff-thanks for sharing this republic2

  • thanks for this post.. quite amazing

  • Frankie is very perfect and big cool !

    Hollys Spirit is genial.

  • Superb !

  • this performance simply shows how good this band actualy were.

    Outstanding!!!!!11

  • Indeed !

Just a bit too ahead of its time.

Even now, this futuristic sound (thanx to Holly's taste for Russian constructivism)

And though I ama not gay, I find Holly's having a great class and is a terribly underrated singer.

  • The full LIVE line up where Holly Johnson,Mark O'Toole,Peter Gill,Brian Nash,Paul Rutherford,Peter Oxendale and Gerard O'Toole.

  • Very cool!!! What a great live track!!! The guitar is so good!!! One of the best songs in the world is Lunar Bay. Greets from Germany!

  • Very cool to hear an album cut like "Lunar Bay" - hearing it live supports Holly's claim that the production on "Liverpool" hindered its success. Notice how funky Nasher's guitar is here and you don't hear it at all on the album version!

  • Excellent, Liverpool was never really as bad as the press made out.

  • i agree it was worse

  • Great song, one of my favourites from 1986. I remember this on TV. It was on the short running music show "The Tube". Show was hosted by Jules Holland and the late Paula Yates.

  • Is there any live Frankie footage of them playing 'For Heavens Sake' off the Liverpool album?

  • david ovendale played keyboards for them live.

  • not bad for scousers

  • i,m privilged to say i have seen these LIVE twice, both gigs awesome.

  • You lucky 'bastard' you, LOL! I'm jealous, so jealous, LOL LOL LOL!!! Of course, i knew FGTH for 'Relax' among others, but i discovered 'Lunar Bay' not long ago! Fabulous beat, great music! Too bad Holly Johnson refused to join the group again! Oh, well...

  • Who's that playing the keyboards? Not Trevor Horn?

  • Stephen lipson I believe.

The guy who produced Liverpool in the absence of Horn.

Incidentally one of the issues that led to the breakdown of Holly's relationship with Horn/ZTT.

  • The Keyboard player is Peter Oxendale, he played with them on both Frankie tours in the mid 80's.

  • oooo

  • Wow! This sent shivers down my spine. I have never seen FGTH so raw and live before. Perfect. Rage Hard is my second favourite Frankie song of all time. (Pleasure Dome bieng my fave).

  • great clip, great song, one of my favs off liverpool, holly at his best..frankie say no more ....pity!!

  • Holly Johnson! that voice man! wow , everything about him !!he made all the other pop singers sound like telly tubbies. haha . y know what i mean! just kiddin about. I do wish he would tour again.

  • THX for the clip!!
