  • it's so annoying that it's out of sync. Otherwise it's perfect

  • Uncle Ramsey didnt mind the girls being a little different..so long as they didnt have a bigger penis than he did!!!

  • @nealadams70 , get off your mom's computer and stop playing with yourself. Go finish your GED; now!

  • @MaskedMarvyl TAKE OFF your mask and your mom's panties ....stop being different

  • @nealadams70 , Congratulations!!! You actually made a funny, instead of just calling names. Now that's progress...

  • "wonder no longer/together we're stronger"

  • Great song for todays standards, especially wiht all the bullying gettig to the extremes these days.....I barely remember the movie version, except for one part where one witch is wearing a 7 carrot ring and Mama Cass eats it...

  • THIS SONG WAS RAD IN THE TIMES...SHE'S SO GREAT.

  • wow..the video is so clear

  • This is way before 'Wicked'... She was just ahead of her time.

  • for all you misfits out there--here is your song---that includes me. "I'd rather be different than be the same". Love you Cass--you are singing in the stars.

  • i felt that i almost love her as much as Janis Joplin

  • Mama cass elliot has an amazing voice!

  • I just had an acid flashback.......I think I'll hit re-play.....

  • I Agree whole-Heartedly that being different, whether it's being gay or a different race or whatever doesn't make you worse. If anything, it makes you better!

  • I saw this in the movie ("Puffnstuff") when it was first released in 1970. I was only 6 years old, but when I heard her voice I was completely captivated, and in my own way understood the sentiment of the words. It was this very song that made me realize I was born a musical creature and would sing and create music for the rest of my life. I will never forget how I felt leaving the theater that day.

  • whoa! psychedelic!!!!

  • It's funny how there is a nazi mouse in a music video about being different...

  • does having three nipples mean you're different? or LUCKY??

  • @nealadams70 Come into my bedroom and you can find out.

  • @nealadams70 , it depends on how much you (or your partner) enjoy your nipples.....

  • Yeah this beats that stupid Bieber by a long shot, am I correct, people?

  • Happy Birthday Cass :-)

  • 3 people are the same.

  • What a talent. Bless you mama cass x

  • Mama Cass Elliot, always a class act. There will never be another like her. Pretty decent makeup for a 70s kid's movie.

  • Diferente es difícil

    Diferente es difícil

    Diferente es solitario

    Diferente problemas sólo pora ti

    Diferente es una pena

Diferente es un dolor en el corazon

Pero prefiero ser diferente a ser lo mismo <3

  • i am different - so my friends know what is wrong with me now. Love ladies but not gay, and it has confused them. Gene Tiermey?

    watch?v=yP9WX4_dn8Q

  • You just can't find catchy tunes like this on T.V. anymore. I can't believe I remembered this song from about 35 years ago.

  • I think the witch in orange who sings is rather pretty along with their queen :D i guess Witchiepoo is kinda cute too...

  • @WinterBlackCat Mama Cass Elliot and Martha Raye were great talents.

  • No wonder I find nazis amusing.

  • I'd rather be different than be the same.

  • Cass Elliot couldn't have performed a more fitting song than this one.Not only that, but I can relate to these lyrics because i grew up different and still am in many regards. It's not something you embrace overnight.

  • Wow. I saw this movie when I was 4 and the song really stayed with me. Watching it now makes me tearful. What a great message for a children's movie.

  • Fantastic song.

  • anyone catch Mama Cass on 'The New Scooby Doo Movies'? No Joke. She really did lend her voice to the episode where she ran a candy factory.

  • @sallyjosie

I did. I'm 19 but I got into this older music from the 1960's around the time the Beatles "1" compilation came out. I learned about the Mamas and the Papas and became interested in their music. I was 9-10 years old. But I can't remember when, probably when I was sick or at home I saw The New Scooby Doo Movies and there was Mama Cass! I thought "Seriously. Mama Cass running a candy factory?"

If Cass had her own candy, I'd buy it lol. RIP Cass.

  • @Jethrofinger ive seen this when i was younger (me being 23) and i never forgot this song it was awesome. then i found myself looking back to what my mom listened to and its ALOT better than the crap kids liten to these days... fleetwood mac, begees, mamas and the papas, carole king, simon and garfunkle and carly simon. great and true artists

  • @crossbones64

Indeed. I love the Beatles, Stones, Who, Pink Floyd, Doors, Thin Lizzy, Zeppelin, Kiss, and a whole lot more. I prefer classic rock but I'd let the Mamas and the Papas fit in as folk rock. Fleetwood Mac are good as well, but I'm a little more interested in the Peter Green era lol. Rumours is amazing, BTW.

  • you've gotta love at the start:

    "Awwh, Grooveey!"

  • oh my god as a gay man i can relate , have never heard it before , should be the gay national anthem thank you , love cass and marth

  • @bearcub410 you're sooo right :D

  • @bearcub410 LOL. I never really watched this show. It was just before my time (haha), but I remember Mama Cass singing some song. I can't believe I found it, PLUS to hear the lyrics! Deff a gay anthem. I posted it on FB and dedicated it to all the little Monsters. Glad I wasn't the only one who felt the same. Thanks for your comment!

  • @bearcub410 Completely agree with you. Also "Make Your Own Kind of Music."

  • I have so missed this song.... Growing up gay in the country of Australia, it was like a power anthem that whenever I was bullied or picked on, I would listen to this (as I had the album) and it would make me feel great about myself. Thank-you so much for posting this -3

  • You just gotta love the Rat in the SS uniform.. Bizzare.... Cass Eliot truly great voice....................

  • Empowering lyrics - sung by a woman deliberately made up to make her look macabre and ugly. This sends huge mixed messages.

  • @LeElHa the message is LOOK BEYOND THE SURFACE AND SEE THE BEAUTY WITHIN

  • @michaelpriest I do - and I KNOW that you do too. Unfortunately, this culture does not. Poor unfortunate fools.

  • @LeElHa : Umm, that's SORTA the point. Being different. What did you want, a chorus line of supermodels singing this? And "macabre and ugly" is in the eye of the beholder.

  • THANK YOU SOOOOOOOO MUCH FOR THIS!!

  • Only thing wrong with it is the sound is not in sync.

  • I"d rather be different than be the same....I still sing this song to myself after seeing the movie in the theatre way back in '70.

  • OMG the quality is SUPERB!! Well done!! I LOVE CASS ELLiOT unlike ANY other!!! ;-D Cass 4~3v3r!!!

  • This is the anthem of my life, and applies to so many things about me. Thank you for putting this up! <3

  • The video quality is FANTASTIC. Better than the original.

  • Ordered it via Amazon

  • Pufnstuf is my favourite movie from childhood. I have tried to get it on VHS and DVD for years! It is not available. I have manged to download it in ten segments from you tube, but really bad quality.... Where did you get this? The quality is amazing! Do you own it on DVD?

  • @1pherrit Both the feature and the series are available on Region 1 and Region 2 DVD.

  • A great song by an artist gone too soon. Thanks for posting!

  • "Together we're stronger / It's not so bad to be different."

  • this is the best quality version i've seen of this.

  • Gotta love Cass Elliot... :)
