you know what the most pathetic thing about all of it is ? the guys that comment on here and critique stuff . you must not have much of a life . and as far as "shred" guitarists stereotypes , just cause someone doesnt listen to jazz or whatever you like , who cares . diversity is what makes the world go round . usually if one has to down others or tell you how good they are , they most likely arent. i took from shawn lane , who is a much better player than any of you and he was very humble
@shredboy5000 you know what is pathetic about this? you and other people bitch about giving their honest opinions. criticism can help people get better. if there wasn't any how would we know how good we are? sometimes a bad and harsh criticism is all we need to get better. every little bit helps.(no matter how negative)if you aren't strong enough to take criticism then find another career.(if its not then it is just a hobby for you and you shouldn't really care about what other people are saying
ok there is a difference between negativity and criticism . and i can take either . i do this for a living not a hobby and me personally could give a shit what some half ass sit at home guitarist thinks of me. i just felt bad for dude . but then again , most people think they know what they are talking about but dont have the slightest clue . sitting in your bedroom "wanking" does NOT make you an authority on anything
@shredboy5000 i definitely feel you there. but even negativity can have positive reaction. for example. i have this teacher that for the life of me i was never able to impress. i got into berklee college of music and that didn't phase him. hahaha. and anything he ever said about my playing was negative. so now. i stride to be a better musician then he will ever be. i want to have my phd in music composition before i turn 30. and i am not sure if that last statement was aimed at me. but i can
@shredboy5000 assure you i know what i am talking about. i have been studying and playing music for about 13 years now. i play, arrange, compose, and teach music for a living. i have composed music for a feature length independent animated film. and have two more live action films on the way. so i kinda know what i am talking about.
Why is it that when metal guitarists play music I always get the impression it's a sport rather than music? All they care about is faster, faster, faster.
It's a shame 99% of these neo-classical shred guitarists spend so much time practicing to gain speed, and in the end of all those years of dedication wind up creating completely lifeless music.
yep...try to slow it a little bit, and yeah it sound a little bit out of key. I don't know what to think about the harmoniser, it sound a little bit weird but it's ok.
Well, you can play fast and that's not bad at all and on top of that, you got a good technique. You can do better than this i'm sure of it. Not saying that this is bad, but i don't feel like i can say: Paganini would be proud of it
It feels like any time an electric guitarist does an interpretation of a classical piece, the instinct is to crank up the treble and speed up the tempo. I don't get it. The result is always either an ice pick in your ear or arcade game music from the '80s. It's unfortunate, because classical music can sound so amazing on an electric guitar when it's done right...
@bastardsofdecent92 Dude give em a break. I'm if Paganini were alive today he would be proud to people putting their own twist on his music. .....Outstanding job dude on your guitar playing the way u play it makes it sound like blaze blue or guilty gear not easy Props Dude..
Why do you get such a decent recording with your toneport? Everyone else's recording sound like complete trash, like it was recorded with an old tape recorder. which would lead me to believe that the toneport is a waste. While the quality defintly isn't professional, it's definetly decent and listenable...
I agree with you! These improvisations are annoying. Vai messed around on caprice 5, obviously wasnt able to play it through and a million guys blindly followed his example.

You should tell that its an improvisation, based on Caprice 24, and if u ask me, this piece should be left how it is. No offense,
