  • my most cherished gift is the necklace my grandmother gave me. I got it for my birthday when I was around 8/9 but sadly the hanger broke but I still have it! So I got a replacement the exact same necklace and hanger when I was 12. I never take it off.

Another gift I cherish is my stuffed dog woofie, He still sleeps in my bed everynight. I got him when I was born and he never left my bed for a single day.

My third cherished gift are my dogs, they are what keep me grounded and help me relax

  • Sweet camera!!! Hot damn. Have fun on vacation!!!

  • super nice

  • Hubby and I gave my brother and his wife a new compact digital still camera (with video capability) - their old one broke over a year ago. I already gave it to them, the day before their 4-year-old daughter had her first dance-recital in a real theatre in Oslo. It is sooo cool to give a gift that is so very welcome!

  • Very cool. Sometimes I wish I had one of those cameras, but I love my video cameras more!

  • dude. awesome!

  • The camera rocks. Jo's computer rocks as well!

  • Very cool gifts Steve. :)

  • That they were!

  • sounds like you both had wonderful gifts. ive been debating to either go to windows 7 or a mac in the next 6 months. ive had alot of issues with vista from HP. i love my laptop just not the OS.

  • I was a Unix Admin, so I love the stability of that platform. When Apple went to Unix, I knew my days on a Microsoft Platform were over.

  • sounds good Vista has not lived up to its XP. alot of lags and updates and many crashes on my HP Laptop.

  • It sounds like you two are having a great great time. Ling and I are hoping to have more vids up soon, but right now, we are preparing for big and exciting move here in the states =D

Peace and best wishes to you two my friend!

    Later.

  • Thanks!

Best wishes and good luck on your move!

  • Aww, that is so cool.

YAY for mac book pros !!

  • sweet!! you two enjoy your time together as much as u can, that is the best thing you can give each other.

we are going to be spending our time with family in australia in 2 weeks!! sweet!!

  • Have fun down there!

  • This year I am giving my only niece two encyclopedia on horses. She has been a horse rider in competitions for years now. Lat year I gave her a framed Japanese Screen Miniature of a horse stable from an art collection, that my Grandmother bought 40 years ago and is worth $200-300, and a Year of Horses book. I don't know what to get my mother! I am at a lose.

  • What great gifts!!!!

  • Nice! I'm looking forward to seeing the vlogs you shoot with that fancy new camcorder! :)

Since I'm a poor student, I don't have much money right now, so this year I'm going to give my parents a couple of prints from photos I have from the west coast here in British Columbia. Neither of my parents live on the west coast, so I figure they would appreciate them and could use them as decoration for their places.

  • That sounds awesome! I once had some of my prints framed for my mother. She loved them! Great choice!

  • In the past I was in a Secret Santa. I didn't really know the guy I got, he worked in another building so for a 20 year old guy I got him a gag gift a couple foam/noodle swords. Best gift ever. He spent the rest of the party challenging people to duels and trying to figure out who gave him his gift. When he found out he tackle hugged me ^_^

  • That's awesome!

  • Salime and I are very Jealous :P

And well, since I KNOW she will read my comment, I cannot comment :P

  • ;-) I can only imagine what your first married Christmas will be like!

  • Nice camera. Does the macbook have korean letters on the keyboard though?

  • Yes, that's why I wanted to buy her one here. I have an external keyboard I bought here so I could access the Hangeul characters easier.

  • That is one nice camera, Sir!

Hey out of curiosity, I don't suppose Macbooks are any cheaper in Korea, are they? I doubt it, and it's not like I'm going to Korea any time soon, I'm just kind of curious.

  • It's about the same. Sometimes they are cheaper based on the value of the Won vs. dollar.

Yes, the camera is very nice! I love it.

  • Aha! I saw her in Kevin's compilation video! Glad you're having a great time. See you mid-January ;-)

  • Sounds great!

  • oh your so lucky

  • In many, many ways!

  • That camera looks DELICIOUS!!

    8-)

Best gift ever for me so far has been my oldest cat, Abner, though he wasn't given to me on the holidays.

  • I can imagine. Jo and I were talking about cats today... And almost every night when I walk home, there's a trio of Shih-tzus that come running up to me. I love having pets!

    The camera rocks.

  • you know that video makes you look so star trek.... See.. Mac for the WIN peoples.. get one.

Can't wait to see the footage from the new cam...

  • LOL --- ENGAGE!!!!

    Yes! Mac FTW!

    The camera rocks!

  • Looking forward to seeing your adventures with the new camera.

  • Thanks!

  • Holy shit bro! That is is a EPIC gift! 12hrs I bet your dreaming of what your going to shoot when on the vac.

  • That it is!!! EPIC!

  • OMG you are so lucky I love Canon I have a Canon HG10 I love it! although I want something new now lol....Oh and I just noticed in this video that your eyes are solid black

  • LOL - It's all about the lighting! ;-)

  • Wow, you are one lucky man!

I would tell you what I got my g/f but she also might watch your video! Wouldn't want her finding out early.

Can't wait to see the footage from the new camera. You're lucky too because youtube is just now accepting 1080 hd footage.

    Best,

    Cameron

  • Oh, you'll see it!

As far as 1080p on YT... I'll probably hold off on it, since it seems to bog down the feed a lot.

  • a new light blue ukulele for the wife this year.

  • Awesome!

  • DUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is AMAZING!!!!!!! You both have AMAZING Xmas gifts!!!!! I hope Jo gets into You Tubing as well :)

I can't wait to see what amazing things you can do with that sort of gear!

    Damn....I am so envious! hehe

Not sure what my wife will get this year...tomorrow is the day..going to a kickass mall in Japan called Nishinomiya Gardens to get her something special!

  • It works really well. I have to convert MTS files into another format before I edit, since my copy of FCP and iMovie don't read AVCHD... but it's easy to do and works without question.

Looking forward to seeing what you get!

  • Haha, that camera sounds AWESOME. I hope I have one that good eventually.

  • Any camera will do.. But I have special plans for this one!

  • An error occurred, please try again later.

  • grrrr

  • Will Jo start making videos now that she has a shiny new Mac. :) Nice camera mate. HD is the best...can't wait to see what you will produce with that beauty. Are the blinds new also?

The favorite gift I ever got was tickets to a Grand final in the Football. My team was playing and they WON!!! Not sure she had anything to do with them winning but it made the gift that much sweeter. :)

  • Probably not. She is very much a behind the scenes person... but I hope to have to in some of my videos. She is a wonderful director and editor. You will certainly see her hand in many of my films.

  • Great news on the present. Awesome! I love a good Footy match!

  • Star Trek Original Series Blu-ray 20 disc set, All three Seasons for my best friend. Cant wait for Christmas :) Gotta love spendy Box sets!

  • Sounds like a great gift. I love TOS!
