@TimeGod12 nope, if you actually read the true history of the 1962 border clash, china retaliated because india was moving forward into tibet, as india planned to annex tibet (which is a chinese territory).
the chinese pm offered a truce first though, saying that both sides should go back to the line of actual control (lac). although the lac is still a disputed boundary, it's better to go back to that status quo rather than fighting.

The Chinese have been through lots of ups and downs, and they're rising again. Looking back at their history, they have a "defend" mentality, not "attack" mentality like USA and many Euro nations. They've fought among themselves for over 4000 yrs, but have never really attacked another nation. That's commendable; I can't say the same for USA bully. Actually, your point about the chinese mentality of defend is very true and the same mentality is also noticeable in most eastern nations with exceptions of few whereas the westerners have that aggressiveness which even influenced the Japs. However, these are changing times and the mentality of generations also change but its still unfair about how US acts on world stage not just in military but in almost every other aspect.

The gov't in exile claims that the Chinese security forces are armed like soldiers and hauling people in for interrogation and in some cases torture. If the Chinese want to play a larger role in world economics, the human rights issue in China needs to be addressed.

See its hard to find out who is telling the truth. The Chinese have historically been tight lipped about what is going on its borders so any reports to come out of Beijing may be questionable. Conversely, the Tibetan government in exile is financed by the US who would probably like to make China look bad so reports of abuse may be accentuated. So there is probably truth to both sides. Some of Shanan is disputed territory so I thought u may have been in the part controlled by China.

You think the village of Rome wanted or expected an Empire when it defended its own walls in the beginning? China would fall to human nature and geopolitical commitments overseas just like any other empire before it if can successfully defend itself with forward momentum. I do mean empire as an informal term of course, though formality becomes mute anyway if a country fulfills every aspect of Imperialism sans the actual Emperor.

Doesn't make sense at all. All Western manufacturers have moved their base of manufacturing to China. China is a superpower alright, we've made it so, while we tear down manufacturing in the West. There's alot of traitors and lefty leaners in those that set the Western policies.

This article completely ignores the enormous military presence of the Chinese in Africa. Of more concern though is the fact that China ignores western sactions with suppressive regimes and rogue states such as Zimbabwe and Sudan through massive arms deals.This is exactly what the west was crucified for in years gone by.

sad fact is, thanks to those check writers in DC, We owe China so much money in principle and interest. If they were to sell this debt, especially quickly, it would crash our already mutilated dollar to almost nothing.
I hate to say it but "Cash for Clunkers" was actually designed by China to help (or maybe force) America make a payment on its debt in scrap steel, rather than in dollars.
These chicken hawks need to wake up, the banker's about to end their war. which would be a ok with me.
