@nsenderoff The hook is decent, pop music actually had a bit of decent musicianship (This song from the Sherman Brothers, check out their doc on Netflix) back then.
Pop music today is even more shallow, they don't even try anymore, it's all done by computers.
@unclebobunclebob And today's pop music isn't shallow? Good grief, where have you been living lately? Uncle Bob, try listening to Lady Gaga or Justin Bieber for a few days, and I'll bet that Annette starts sounding pretty sophisticated next to that nasty garbage?
I was too young to remember Annette (I'm age 48) , but she was really a classy little singer and very talented!!! She could give Britney and "Lady" GAGA a lesson on poise and class. Its sad she is suffering from the ravages of MS . God bless you Annette!!!
@barehairy This was on an LP and single, I wish someone would upload "No Way To Go But Up", although somewhere someone has her singing it on the Ed Sullivan show.
My Mom is 67, the same age as Annette, she told me that every boy was in love with sweet Annette and every girl wanted to be like her. When she used to make those Skippy peanut butter commercials I saw a lady selling peanut butter my Mom said she saw a little girl in Mouse Ears. Poor Annette is so sick now with MS she can't even talk anymore. They showed her on Entertainment Tonight a while back with her husband, she cried and her husband said she wanted to sing again. Tha'ts sad ) :
She's as cute as a button. Too bad American girls don't have someone like Annette to look up to today!

"Walking and Talking" was a 1963 non-hit, non LP 45 RPM single. The flip side was "Teenage Wedding."

@brad1970dd Yes she was. I saw in the newspaper where her home caught on fire last month, but luckily, she got out.
