You know separatists are not political opponents! They want to secede from the state and this is no way be tolerated. If people who merely criticized the govt were being arrested then the govt is at fault but no nation would tolerate separatists.

I do think however that Indonesia doesn't yet have a genuine democracy. All those reforms came to nothing. Those who fought and brought about change are different people than the people who now get the chance to get into power or enjoying power. Sad.

I think that no form of separatist will ever be tolerated in any country that existed today and tomorrow, not only Indonesia.

Indonesia does jails demonstrators, and as a citizen I am glad they did, they(demonstrators) are getting more irrational each day, blocking roads, throwing molotov cocktails, beating a police officer, creating unrest, slowing economic and educational growth. They are student's for god's sake, they should be more civilized.

Moluccans are not seperatists, Indonesia is occupying Maluku. That's a big difference. And these people did not throw any kind of things to nobody. They just showed te world that their land is still being occupied by Indonesia...

"Democracy has brought unprecedented freedom" is wrong. This is like religion. There is no proof for this. Within this video, they talk about the lack of liberty(often called freedom). Democracy does not equal freedom nor does it cause anything like it. Read Democracy: The God that Failed for proof.
